I detest it personally, because when we're driving anywhere, my friends enjoy putting down the windows and turning the bass up to the max and blasting it at passersby. It was annoying the first time, and frankly, I can't stand it anymore.

I love it. I couldn't listen to it all day, everyday but I love sitting down and playing video games to it. It gets me pumped.

I'm largely indifferent about it. Aphex Twin is really the only electronic music I listen to with any regularity.
Hmm, aphex twin.. now thats something different, windowlicker is pretty awesome, lol, but the clip is the weirdest effing vid ive ever seen :O
Try "Rubber Johnny" and get back to me. That is a weird video.

Next big thing? Nope, it's a fad. It will pass just like the rest. I like techno, but dubstep is just that lazy type of techno. Take an existing song, slow it down, and loop some stuff over it. Oh well, if people like I wont shit on their parade.

I'm not too sure what Dubstep actually is, but I can sum it up in one word... Womp...

I don't particularly like it all that much, but one of my friends always puts on some slow dubstep and I have to admit I really do like it. The fast stuff, or the stuff everyone else seems to call dubstep just isn't my kinda thing.

I LOVE Dubstep, especially Datsik, Bassnectar and Excision.
Although I do understand why people are having a hard time liking it.
Just repost this comment again as my post. You sir, are clearly my double.

To me, dubstep sounds like total shit. I don't understand the current obsession with it, to be honest. A lot of pop music sounds better than dubstep to me, and I'm not exactly a big fan of pop music.

Those are some big words you are using, I bet if i found you and turned on Dubstep luodly, you'd just sit down and suck your thumb lol XD

Seriously, i dont see a point in posting such comments, what, do yo want to look like a really smart funny wisecracker? NO, it just makes you look, as if you're ripping off popular game critics like Yahtzee and AVGN, in places where it fits the least. I pity you.
1) You asked for an opinion, don't ***** if you don't like it.

2) Big words? For an illiterate 12 year old perhaps...

3) Look up Monty Python, this kind of retort existed decades before zero punctuation.

4) Get off your high horse, ditch the pretentious attitude, you're hardly defending a musical masterpiece... It's shitty club music about as musically interesting as the Barney the fucking dinosaur's theme song.

5) Have a nice day

Well first off dubstep isn't new at all.

And personally I find it far to bland. I don't mind the wob wob wob or anything, in fact I really like that, but all the dubstep I've heard (pure dubstep) is extremely similar and lacks any substance.

But I do like songs that incorporate a bit of dub with other more "house" type stuff going on. I also like some dirty electro house type stuff

Like this!

Oh right but I do love some Noisia!

Yeah, that song's okay, but it's split into so many different parts with different names, I can never get the full thing.

It's pretty good. Skrillex being the apex for me. Loving the song he did with Korn that just came out.
I thought that song was pretty damn cool, I'm excited to hear the rest of the song when it comes out.

OT: It's okay, I have to be in the mood to listen to it though. But when I do listen to it, half the stuff I'm hearing isn't bad. I guess part of my problem is that I don't know many of the artists and I just know some songs.
You mean this full song? ;)

New genre? I lol'd.

Dubstep's been here for a while. It's just recently starting becoming popular. It's easy to make and there are a lot of different kinds. The thing is, some is really good and some is really bad. It's such a broad genre that it's silly to say you hate dubstep in general. And either way, it's close to brostep and DnB which are two superior genres. If anything that means the dubstep kids will learn about better genres and broaden their tastes. It's a good gateway genre and you guys should be proud that finally some people are accepting more styles of music than radio-friendly pop like so many are.
