Duke Nukem 3D. Help me get it to run!

Okay, so after trailing around in my Dads old CDs, I found a copy of Duke Nukem 3D. In order to honour the king, i decided to play it.

HOWEVER, I can install it and such, but any attempt I make to play it equals failure. I'm running XP so I guess it doesn't help that this was designed for 95.

I can get Duke Nukem 1 to work, if that helps.

Yep, set it to Compatibility Windows 95, but when i run the game, it closes automatically.

Okay got it working somehow, but now I have no sound and it closes after 20mins, almost like I'm playing a demo.

get a few microsoft points, go to XBLMP and download it, good controls, nice game, and you can play it from the sofa.

Call tech support, 50 points if they ask you to RTFM, 200 if they pick up.

Hmm Windows XP the only thing I can suggest is to use a program called DOSBOX thats how I got games like Toonstruck to work.

It was the first result on google for "Duke Nukem 3D on XP"... I mean come on.

You can buy it at www.gog.com for about $6. The nice thing about there is that they make sure all their games work on XP and Vista.

Listen to Aunel! (Unless you do not have a 360) Just get it on Xbox Arcade. You get more than the normal edition of Duke Nukem 3D on the PC, and you get 8 player co-op and Duke Match. AND rewind! The rewind really is great and much better than constant quicksaves. (The Wii should use it to help casual players get into gaming, instead of the shortcuts they keep trying like skipping the game and crap)
