I don't really care about it. I've never even played a Duke Nukem game and from what I can tell it's the most generic of the generic in-terms of shooters.

This is akin to saying that Coke is the most generic of Cola drinks. It is fundamentally true but offers no meaningful insight as Duke, as much as any game, is responsible for what the Generic FPS became.
