I know duke nukem is a still a few months away from release but has anyone heard anything about its release in australia and being censored.

The reason im asking is i just saw the trailer. The trailer was censored but from the looks of it there is a fair amount of nudity, like the big 3 breasted alien and alot of violence and stuff. Anyway do you think australia will get a stupid censored version or are we hoping the atterny generals will get the new rating system inplace in time.

Unless you guys get your R rating, I doubt this will come out there. Get ready to ask all your US friends to gift you it on Steam.

Well, the trailer does say 17+. I thought the Aussies only had problems with 18+ games.

Highest rating we have for games is 15+, so yeah, no.

I think it'll go through. South Australia is still a horrific black hole of "EVERYONE MUST BE GOOD CHRISTIANS IN MY COUNTRY!" -and this extends past gaming & media- but I think it'll be let through now that batty Atty's gone. Hopefully.
I take great offense at this. I don't know anyone in SA that is like that, and you lot are deluded if you think atkinson had the power to refuse games classification. All he ever did was block reforms of the classification system.

Any state could of had an idiot like him and since we're the ones that got him, we get all the hate and blame and that just ain't right.

There are plenty of simple ways to get around a ban.

Most of them known to the general public.

Even though on paper it's garuanteed this game will never see the Southern Cross from atop the Sydney harbour bridge, the rating system has really gaping exceptions because the rating system workers are RETARDED.

Case in point, Left 4 Dead 2 banned, Dead Space open for business!

This is not a game of hiding the tits and gore from the raters, it's a game of chance.

the only reason L4d 2 was censored was because people enjoyed playing the first one, but since no one is quite sure how enjoyable this game is the government won't notice it thus won't censor it

Nope, not happening. You guys are going to get stuck with "Duke Nukem's Fantasy Adventures in Candyland". If you give me the money I'll give you the game, though.

*yawn*

Seeing as the decisions of the Australian Classification Board (formerly the OFLC) are, at best, inconsistent there's no point in trying to guess unless you've got money riding on it.
