I always got annoyed with the AI on the original Age Of Empires. It was all fine for a while then suddenly the enemy would build nothing but catapults... still a great game though.

I'm assuming the 'dumdest' spelling mistake was on purpose as well. Just checking. Just you know, 'cos if it wasnt, you could now change it. But hey, if it was on purpose... then... ignore all this.

Serious Sam...But does it count that the enemies are meant to run into your line of fire?

If you've never tried to herd the survivors in Dead Rising, then you've never seen truly bad A.I.

I don't play shooters so I imagine I'm missing out on some superbly poor AI, but the AI in Morrowind was legendarily bad. I eventually developed a strategy with difficult opponents such that I'd get them stuck in the world geometry and pick them off.

Cossacks... anyone who played will understand, just so so so many errors
Oh yes, it was like AoE but much, much worse.
well it was basically AoE except without the same tactics, much worse AI that seemed to run on triggers, and would mindlessly wander about the map being distracted by pasing squirells. Every 10th unit that came out would mnove 10 times as fast as it should, ships were massively overpowered, if there were cliffs on a map your troops would get stuck... Oh, and if they were in a regiment parts of it would wonder off in arbitary directions... yeah, great fun... :/ lol, sorry, I had to vent!

oh its true, also you can go as fast as you like backwards, as there's no momentum limiter on reversing, and hills have no resistance... OH, and if you complete a level the game crashes :)

Gawd, the Halo ones were certain to be mentioned, but they seriously aren't that bad compared to other games... How about Rainbow Six? Movement AI is non-existant, they simply follow the paths you lay out for them, and shoot enemies when they're nearby. They have no way of getting out of being stuck if you put waypoints wrong, and I've found enemies running around in circles, who stop to shoot me, then when I'm dead they continue their running around.

The original Timesplitters. It never got much better, but the original was horrendous, with groups of enemies following the same paths, charging at you in lines, and staying in those lines while they shoot you. This problem was never fixed in the map maker either.

The friendly AI in FEAR are pretty shit too. They just get killed or run away every time shit hits the fan! Stupid idiots!
