What would be something that Wilhelm would be doing? Would the Dark Lord be using him for patrols/recon for example?

Easily nearly anything and everything would be and can be done in camp that is obvious, scouting and recon for one is am minor and rather open task. People are free to leave and do as they wish but the camp of course is easily infamous, so be careful or else an arrow might not miss..

Here for a hunter its important to remember that while playing alone, your pet is your tank. But in case of dungeons it might hinder the actual tank's job. So it's better to turn off auto-casting of Growl, which may causes high threats. Also remember that your pet cannot chase running enemies into other packs of monsters.
