Boosted by Kriv's words, Boindal shifts himself around the Kobold in front of him, getting himself in position to flank the two enemiesso he and Kriv may dispatch them quickly.

as long as shifting doesn't incur an attack of opportunity (which I'm pretty sure it doesn't) I will shift diagonally forward and then diagonally again to put me behind the Kobold who started in front of me

Kriv?s attack glances off of the Kobold?s shield, causing no damage. As Boindal quickly repositions himself, the Dragonshield Kobold steps sideways, reluctant to allow the heroes to flank him, while a few feet away Furgin makes his way out of the woodland and back onto the road.

I need to check that our big bearded friend has got things under control over there, the Halfling thinks to himself, a frown across his face, nervous for the well being of his travelling companions, But there is the case of that shot that came from down the road a moment ago too...

The Kobold with his back to the rocks hisses violently at Kriv and lashes out, yet hits nothing but the protective armour that covers the Dragonborn?s body.

Suddenly, a glue like substance splashes over the boulder on Boindal?s left, narrowly missing him. Looking over his shoulder the Dwarf can see the source of the attack, a sling wielding Kobold that has emerged from the rocks further down the field. The Kobold notices that he has been spotted and darts back into cover, though he is still visible.

The shaman, wounds dripping with blood, moves cautiously away from Baldur before turning and picking up speed. Once the creature has put roughly ten or so feet between him and the Barbarian it ducks behind some foliage in a desperate attempt to conceal itself from the Bardbarian.

Boindal is struck by a short blade, wielded by the Dragonshielded Kobold he had taunted previously. However, the blade doesn?t find it easy to cut through the psychically reinforced flesh, and with a twang not dissimilar to the sound of iron clashing against iron, the blade comes away having inflicted very little damage.

Furgin sprints across the road, vaulting over Kobold corpses and ducks down behind a rock. Taking aim, Furgin readies two more arrows, letting fly at the slinger. One plants itself firmly in his breastplate while the other sails wide. The Kobold screeches in pain, snapping the arrow in his chest to allow him to move more easily, if not in excruciating pain.

The Kobold uses an immediate raction to an enemy moving next to him, as Boindal did, to shift 1 square. The other Kobold misses Kriv.

Slinger misses Bindal with special ammo.

Shaman shifts as a minor, and then moves away unhindered.

Dragonshield scores a hit on Boindal but his resistances bring the damage down to 2.

Furgin: Two-Fanged strike:18+8=26 & 3+8=12; 1 hit. 10 damage. So close to bloodying him.

Next up, Boindal!

Boindal

Not worrying too much about the flesh wound he was just dealt Boindal retaliates with his hammer. Boindal swings his hammer at the Kobold he called out before while using his psionic abilities to project the image of a serpent striking out at his enemy. Unfortunately the wound proved to take away Boindal's concentration enough that the Kobold is able to deflect his attack, seemingly unconcerned with the image that Boindal was trying to project. "That was a lucky block ye had there, but I bet ya cannot do that a second time," Boindal taunts as he centres his mind in preparation for his next attack.

Bah! Gonna miss with this I imagine, Vicious Cobra Strike; 17 vs AC, if it does hit then 15 damage.

The Kobold laughs back at Boindal, bashing the hilt of his blade against his shield.

"Tsar en'tadar, velm Duragar!" The Kobold hisses, Kriv recognising the words as, "I shall drink your blood, Dwarf."

I don't know Draconic, but its all good to make it up in the name of flavour. : P
A very close call. Almost got him. These guys are quite a pain in the ass, eh?

And Mike, set a bloody Avatar picture!

Baldur

"You can't get away that easily!" Baldur chases the kobold into the bushes, attempting to cut him off.

Charge attack to the square to the right of the shaman (incuring an AoO from badger and shaman if shammy has a melee weapon equipped). 26 vs. AC, 6 dmg.
Then end with a boot-granted shift diagonal left to end in the square above the shammy.

The Badger lashes out as Baldur runs after the Shaman, but once again misses. The Shaman, ready for Baldur?s advance, roars loudly, a burst of crackling lightning shooting forth from his throat. The billowing cloud of elemental fury anchors itself to Baldur?s chainmail, shield and sword, burning the hair, skin and flesh beneath. The blast slows Baldur down, but not enough. Smoking from the burns, Baldur steps up and slides his blade through the gullet of the feeble, injured creature. Stepping sideways and pulling his blade away from Kobold flesh, Baldur looks to see the glow in the Dire Badger?s eye fade a little, the creature suddenly tamer than before. Whimpering, the creature runs, fleeing combat.

You can?t ?charge? to the square adjacent to the right of the Shaman as a charge requires all movement to bring you closer to the creature, which that final square wouldn?t be. The readied dragon?s breath goes off with a total of 20 vs. Fort, and 11 damage (max roll).

The Badger, flees, freed from the spell of its master.

Baldur is of course, bloodied.

Kriv?s up next.

The fight with the armored kobolds hass quickly become a battle of maneuver, and Kriv readies himself to counter the enemies' movements and strikes with superior tactics and fighting skill, dominating the battle space around him. He then lashes out once again at the unmarked Kobold.

Minor action to activate defender's aura. I get AoO on any enemies who shift or attack allies while within my aura of 1. They also receive -2 to their attack when not attacking me. Does not effect marked enemies.

Standard action, attack 1d20+6=10 clearly a miss. Move action, shift 1 square North.

Just to say, sorry that the speed of the RP has slown down. Of course, combat will always take time, what with having to wait between time zones etc. Also, these two weeks are my last weeks of term for this semester of Uni. This means deadlines and all sorts of nasty commitment. So don't worry, this isn't dying off, I am commited.

Kriv slashes, but his blade meets nothing but shield. He readies himself to lash out again, spreading his feet out and adopting an aggressive stance, Kriv begins to focus his attention on the environment and enemies around him.

The Dragonshield Kobold straight in front of Kriv ignores him to attempt to score a hit on Baldur. His short sword catches the dwarf off guard and cuts deep, opening a wound. Kriv seizes the opportunity to slash once more at the creature, but the blade crashes against raised shield yet again, although the blow is enough to stagger the enemy.

The sling wielder fires upon Furgin but misses completely.

The other Shielded enemy carefully moves away, but Kriv takes advantage of the creature?s movement and takes a swing, catching the side of the Kobold?s leg; not a heavy wound, but blood is drawn none the less. The Kobold, off balance from Kriv?s attack, misses Boindal by a huge margin.

You can?t shift North as the trees count as difficult terrain. Sorry, I should have specified. I also rolled your AoO to speed things along.

First Dragonshield rolled an 18, hitting Boindal for 8 damage in the end. First Melee basic is a miss but does Str mod damage.

Slinger misses.

The other shield, shifts as a move, shifts as a minor (damn those shifty Kobolds!), takes a missed Str mod damage from Kriv and then swings and misses Boindal.

Furgin is up next. I believe Tips is back. I will harass by text, and if he isn?t, I will pilot him tomorrow morning.

I'm aliiiiive! you can't text me though because I've left my phone charger somewhere...that's why I've been trying to get your attention on Facebook!

I'll look through what's been happening tomorrow and then make a post sometime in the morning. I assume the kobold in the top left corner - behind that boulder - is the slinger?

He gonna get it!

Seeing Boindal surrounded by the vicious dragonshields, Furgin darts from behind the boulders to get a better view of one of the assailants. Picking out the nearest dragonshield as his target, Furgin slowly draws an arrow from his quiver. Notching the arrow, Furgin quickly pulls the bowstring before snapping it back again, letting his arrow fly towards his intended target. Without a pause, Furgin turns to bring the slinger into his view, notching an arrow and loosing it in almost one fluid movement.

I shall first move to the left 6 squares.

Minor action: Hunter's Quarry on the dargonshield nearest me.

Standard action: Twin Strike on the nearest dragonshield and the slinger.

Damage to Dragonshield: Attack - d20+8 = 21. Damage - d8+1 = 9. Extra damage (Hunter's Quarry) - d6 = 2. Final damage - 11.

Damage to Slinger: (Furgin is one square closer to the slinger than Boindal so he gains a +1 to attack thanks to the Prime Shot feat) Attack - d20+9 = 20. Damage - d8+1 = 5.

Hrm, I was hoping for a lot more damage on the slinger, but oh well....

Baldur

"Right. That's him seen to. lækningar orð!" Baldur's wound begin to heal as he hastens back to his companions.

Use my Skald's Aura to spend a Healing Surge +1hp (minor action). Double move towards Kriv and Boindal.

Boindal

As Boindal staggers back from the blow dealt by the Kobold he realizes that he should tread a bit more carefully. With a practised ease taught to him by his Dwarven tutors, Boindal slips out of the middle of the two Kobolds, robbing them of their tactical advantage. Boindal decides that he has toyed with this Kobold for long enough and it is time to really show him the meaning of pain. Once again Boindal psionically adjusts the make-up of his hammer wielding arm to make it almost impervious to pain, however this time Boindal also channels his psionic power in the hammer blow causing a massive backwash to psionic energy to strike at the Kobold.

Move action - 5ft step southwards (aka towards Furgrin). Standard Action - Iron Fist - d20+8 = 24, I hope that hits, augmenting it with 2 power points which makes it 2[W] damage, so 2d10+6 = 21 damage, and I gain resist all damage of my Wis mod (+4) till the end of my next turn.

Furgin?s arrows land nicely on target, the first arrow landing in the Shield bearing Kobold?s exposed lower back. The creature recoils in pain, turning to hiss at Furgin. The second arrow glances the Slinger?s left arm, tearing a large gash through the creatures bicep, causing blood to gush forth and spray the rocks the creature uselessly tries to use as cover.

The distracted Kobold turns back towards the Dwarf in time to see his weapon swinging at eye height. Boindal?s hammer lands with a shockwave of psychic energy upon the Kobold?s face. The armour guarding the creature?s snout crumples, teeth shatter and the tongue, torn by the sudden jarring impact, flops out of the creature?s mouth to land with a satisfying squelch upon the dirt road. Deep within the recesses of the creature?s mind and away from the eyes of others, Boindal feels his own psychic energy crash down upon his draconic foes will, smashing it to pieces. Although the damage of physical arrow and hammer head is significant upon the creature?s small body, the mortal blow is scored by the Battlemind?s psionic assault, under which the Kobold?s feeble mind crumbles, his life expelled.

Further back, Baldur steps over the Shaman?s bloody corpse and makes his way out on to the road unhindered. His burns visibly begin to heal has he moves, as if... by magic.

Quite good hits from Furgin?s bow.

Boindal?s supercharged hammer blow wipes the floor with the Kobold.

What form does the Skald?s Aura take with Baldur? Does he sing, dance, chant?

Kriv, your up.

Boindal

As the slain Kobold's body slumps to the ground, it's head a bloody crumpled mess, Boindal grins as he turns to look directly at the remaining Dragonshield. He calls out to the creature, he words infused with psionic power directing the Kobold's attention onto himself, "Looks like ye be all on yer lonesome now. Come o'ver ere and I'll give ya an honourable death!"

really should have put this in my earlier post, but didn't know if the Kobold would die or not. Using my minor action for Battlemind's Demand to mark the last Dragonshield

Kriv strikes once again at the shielded Kobold, this time following his attack up by roaring loudly at the creature and unleashing a torrent of flame from his maw.

Standard: Basic attack w/powerstrike 24 vs AC, 9 damage
Minor action: Dragon breath 21 vs Reflex, 3 damage
If it dies, I spend my move action moving towards the slinger.

I put the old maps HTML code in it seems. Whoops! Updated and edited accordingly!

The remaining Dragonshield watches as Boindal dispatches his ally and turns towards him. Physically shaken by the sight, the Kobold shakes thoughts of retreat from his mind. He knows full well that if he doesn't die upon the field of battle, Irontooth will flay him alive. He growls back at the Dwarf, "You will die for what you have done!"

Baldur

Baldur walks among the bushes, seemingly oblivious to his injuries, reciting tales of heroes in his strange tongue. He interrupts his tale with another blasting shout at the Dragonshield.
... Sigrúnar þú skalt kunna,
ef þú vilt sigr hafa,
ok rísta á hialti hiǫrs,
sumar á véttrimum...

sekfi hrið Sköglar!

... sumar á valbǫstum,
ok nefna tysvar Tý...

Move diagonally up left to two squares above Kriv and use Staggering Note against the Dragon Shield. B'ah! 12vs. Will. If hit, 4 dmg and the target pushed 2 squares. Push him past Boindal, allowing he and Kriv a basic melee against him as a free action.
