Along with some of the other people in this thread I just want to put into perspective that Second Life is NOT a game. That doesn't mean it is "srs bzn" but it is what happens when you make a 3D Oekaki, cross it with a chat room, and let people have their own reasons for playing. Also, depending on how well you know external programs like Photoshop, 3DS Max, ect. you can very easily play this game 100% for free.

For interested parties, check out this alternate viewer (think of it as WoW with tons of addons vs WoW completely addon free):

And Tears for Fears is putting together a World of Warcraft group. And Oingo Boingo like to play Call of Duty together online. And Annie Lennox can't stop playing Mario Kart. And Sting looks like a child molester.

I know that last one didn't seem to fit. If you're ever on a board responsible for selecting test questions, you may feel free to use the above as one of those "Which of the following least fits in with the others" questions. I just wanted to point out that to me Sting has always looked like a child molester.

Oh! And Operation Ivy can't afford a TV.

Second Life is still around? I figured it would have been nuked off the face of the earth by griefers by now.
Second Life is so dull, even the griefers don't go there anymore.

"Overly-sexualized 'Hungry Like A Wolf' avatars"?

Yeah, I'd stay the fuck away from that club. That'll turn into a fetish hang-out REAL quick.

O-MY-GOD! Duran Duran is opening a club in Second Life?!?!? Stop the press! This will be the next big thing after Jesus.

Personally, I'm holding back my hype-energy for when New Kids on the Block are starting their Corporation in EVE Online.

Honestly, I think this would've been socially awkward even if it did happen back when Second Life was still something.

I feel as if every time someone mentions second life I have to just nod my head, what in the world is this Second Life?
A game without the 'game' part.
Basically like a glorified chat client with avatars.

Imagine world of warcraft. Now, take out the war. And most of the craft. And you pay money for stuff, like outfits. That don't do anything. And when you get your perfect avatar, you meet other avatars, and then run away to islands in the digital sea to spend the rest of your lives together.
Hey I resent that comment.

I like Duran Duran, but don't like SL.

Edit:
Note to self: proofread own posts.
