I haven't played a single player game in forever. While I'm waiting for a match in something, I'll read on my Kindle though. That and giving plasma is where I get a large amount of my leisure reading in.

As far as Game of Thrones goes, you'll have a hard time only reading half a page once you get to Storm of Swords, and a hard time even reading half a page of Feast for Crows.

PC, I never have a loading time that is over 20 seconds.
Are there even PC games with load times that long? I don't remember any game in the last 2 years have one longer than 5 secs, unless you count total war when all the AI's take their turn.
Skyrim maxed out, with lots of lovely mods, sometimes pushes it. But genuinely, I have a game on steam, I browse.

I usually don't wait more then 10 - 20 seconds, so there's really nothing I can do except take a drink.

Yeah me either, till I saw it on my brothers PS3... But no, I won't touch SSDs.. I've seen first hand the crap they can cause when they go awry, maybe in another 10 years.

I started sorting my magic collection during loading times.
It didn't last long. Some 10 boxes full of cards... by colour, rarity, alphabetical...
Either I need to game less or find something with shorter loading times.

Generally, that is the time I take to pace around the room and shout random things.

Anyone who lives near me likely thinks I'm insane.

Generally I have a book next to me that doesn't have too much in it. Books of quotes and stuff like that. At the moment I have the Star Trek encyclopedia next to me so every time I hit a loading screen I skip to a random page and read some stuff on it.

I either jump my mouse around the loading screen, finding every crevice it can fit into, read the back of my game boxes, or wait patiently.
Sometimes, I nibble on some munchies.

always have a book close to hand for those annoying moments in life:

Speaking to my sister on the phone
speaking to my mother on the phone
game loading
speaking to my gran on the phone

Take a drink, use the bathroom, get more nibblies, whatever I have time for.

Most of the time I answer texts that I missed, or forgot that I had, and get more of whatever I'm drinking.

I remember during Skyrim I would see how many times I can rotate the object on screen before it stops. Me singing "You spin me Round" is optional, but a must if I'm bored.
