Duty Calls: Thoughts and Comments

Recently, People can Fly, the people behind Painkiller and the upcoming creative fps Bulletstorm, have put up a 5 minute long mock game, called Duty Calls, making fun of Call of Duty and other modern shooters. What are your thoughts? Is this spot on, or a horriblely untasteful blow towards the competition? Tell us what you think of it.

This has been posted a couple times, search bar is your friend.
As I stated in the other threads, I hate the company behind it because instead of releasing a demo for the PC they released this waste of time. Oh great you made fun of call of duty...cause every other CoD competitor doesn't do the same thing: See Bad Company.
Finally got around to downloading the damn demo on my 360, you know what? Maybe it was a smart move for them to not release a demo on the PC, because quite frankly...it isn't that impressive.

I know nothing of Call of Duty. It's literally not fantastic enough for me.

However that video is a great example of how to make content that doesn't use swearing or inuendo to crack gamers up because I need to go replace my coke now.

My favorite bits were the level ups and the end piece. Great bit!

Meh, the jokes were pretty crappy. I liked the level up things though, they were amusing. I didn't like how dumbed down the jokes were. Like, "I'm the evil boss guy because I have an eyepatch and I'm Russian", that could've been expanded on and made much more hilarious if it wasn't so poorly said.

Seriously, what kind of comment was that? Simplifying the thing down to it's most basic form always makes things sound bad.

On topic. I like the level up things that are said with such vigor but thats about it.

I do hope other games makers pick up on this and change up the same old game mechanics that has been pumped out for awhile now.

I want to like bulletstorm, I want devs to take notice that an FPS doesn't have to be "realistic" to sell well, but I feel it will flop.

I am amazed that the file is 700 mb's i remember when a game was 700 mb's it was a big fucking deal. And this is a 5 minute parody.

I thought it was amusing, exactly the sort of marketing that will work for bulletstorm.
