So I was thinking about some of the games shown at E3 and I noticed a trend in some of the biggest ones there. Some of them seem to share an incredibly striking resemblance to Uncharted.
Tomb Raider is Uncharted with a bow; The Last Of Us is Uncharted in post-apocalyptia; and Star Wars 1313 is Uncharted in space. They all seem to have a very linear structure made up of light platforming that's more about progression than skill, and shooting fools in 3rd person. They all do it in a very cinematic way too with a lot of scripted sections.
Now I'm not saying any of these games are bad, but from what I've seen the similarities are uncanny. Also, I admit that I'm not that familiar with Uncharted and of course a short E3 demo doesn't necessarily represent an entire game, but I couldn't shake the thought. Anyone else notice this?
