And going by that post you're more than likely still far too young to be using anything meant for "big boys".xDarc said:Isn't Uncharted a PS3 exclusive that no one cares about? I've never played it. I spent my money on a big boy console, it's called a computer.
Yes, and now it seems it's come full circle. I admit I haven't seen the Tomb Raider or The Last of Us bits, but from seeing the tiny bit of gameplay from Star Wars 1313 with animations blatantly ripped off Uncharted, I can see why the connection could be made.Andy Shandy said:I thought Uncharted was the game series that ripped off everyone else? Judging by what Yahtzee said anyway, I haven't actually played any of them.
It copied Assassin's Creed..? Didn't know a game that came out 3 days after AC copied it... Also Uncharted began being made back in 04, just after they finished Jak 3. Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones no doubt they got influence from, but Gears and AC? No. Also just because Gears and Uncharted are both third-person shooters, doesn't mean they play similar.JoesshittyOs said:No... Yeah, no...
No. Your opinion is wrong. nothing will ever rip off Uncharted, because Uncharted is the byproduct of Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, Gears of War, and Assassin's Creed, and almost overy other 3rd person shooter you can think of.
Though the new Tomb Raider did look painfully unoriginal.
The parkour elements were very minimal in the first game, and come the second game it became clear that they decided to up the anty with the free running and climbing.Korten12 said:It copied Assassin's Creed..? I hope you haven't seen Watch Dogs.Yosharian said:Don't bother, they aren't listening.Scrustle said:Guys, I know Tomb Raider came before Uncharted. But the new game is a reboot. They're changing their course a lot from where they have been recently, and that course is to imitate Uncharted.
I agree with you, but I'd go further and say that there is virtually nothing I've seen at E3 that has even a tiny bit of originality.
Pretty much, but you should tell that to the OP.Korten12 said:Also just because Gears and Uncharted are both third-person shooters, doesn't mean they play similar.
Never played it = No one cares about it.xDarc said:Isn't Uncharted a PS3 exclusive that no one cares about? I've never played it. I spent my money on a big boy console, it's called a computer.
I'll throw in another example:Ultratwinkie said:Platform shooters have been around for far longer than uncharted.Scrustle said:So I was thinking about some of the games shown at E3 and I noticed a trend in some of the biggest ones there. Some of them seem to share an incredibly striking resemblance to Uncharted.
Tomb Raider is Uncharted with a bow; The Last Of Us is Uncharted in post-apocalyptia; and Star Wars 1313 is Uncharted in space. They all seem to have a very linear structure made up of light platforming that's more about progression than skill, and shooting fools in 3rd person. They all do it in a very cinematic way too with a lot of scripted sections.
Now I'm not saying any of these games are bad, but from what I've seen the similarities are uncanny. Also, I admit that I'm not that familiar with Uncharted and of course a short E3 demo doesn't necessarily represent an entire game, but I couldn't shake the thought. Anyone else notice this?

In fact, its a stable of a lot of action-adventure games.
