has LOADS of potential, will it meet the potential i think so.

i think the car crash is slightly scripted but it still looks like you had to time it right. also it was an E3 demo the car crash was simply to show of your abilities.

like i said it has LOADS of potential

If only Ubisoft would stop using those fuckin' slow motion scenes in everything. They are cool sometimes, and only in cutscenes. They are not cool in the middle of fuckin' gameplay.

Anyway, visually it looks way too good for a console game. Was this PC footage?
From what I've heard it was ran on a PC using Xbox controller.

OT: This definitely came way out of left field and really just shocked me when I saw it live. Super excited for a new IP and can't wait to see more.

Definitely my most anticipated game out of E3 so far.

New IP that actually looks interesting? I'm definitely going to keep my eye on this one, now that I have money I want to try to support more new IP's rather than too many sequels.

Seems like an assassin's creed/gta/awesome futuristic tech amalgamation. I really like the look of it.

Dat coat physics...

Seriously, the wind blowing on that looks awesome.
Seeing information on people make the world seem so alive aswell.

The control of things actually makes me think of a far grittier Eden of the East more than anything else, which is cool.

I was actually kind of disappointed when he pulled out the gun.
Yeah, much the same here. I was expecting something a little more subtle. But no, third person cover based shooting ahoy!

Nothing against that kind of gameplay, in fact I rather enjoy it, but this seemed to be building towards something less blunt.
Yeah, this seems to be the big problem with this demo. I was kinda hoping for a more discrete way to take him out. Hopefully there are a few more options. What if he'd allowed the guy to get there, or what other means could he have use to stop him? I hope they allow for more options than that and have multiple endings for events. (Probably not, but a guy can imagine...)

But did anyone else find the fact he concealed part of his face as soon he pulled out the gun exciting? Okay, maybe not exciting but interesting. This kinda blows my mind because I don't think I've ever seen a game character try to conceal their identity when doing crazy shit like this.

I'm also curious about how much of the car crash was scripted. Everything fell together a little too conveniently to be the product of random chance.
Yeah, i hope it isn't another assassins creed: "We are gonna trick you into thinking you have options but not really." It needs to be like hitman, more games need to be like hitman :D

OT: Looks pretty good, but i wish it pushed it a little further into the future, so it actually LOOKS like the future. Not many sci-fi snadbox games these days. Here, it just looks like today, but with super-computers.

Also, did people notice the gamertags? When the action goes away from pierce the policeman on the phone has a gamertag above him, the map also shows some other gamertags. Some kind of multiplayer thing? That could be sweet.

I'm hoping that at least half of what looked like it could've been scripted was actually unscripted.
True. It seemed almost too perfect.
And then it's from Ubisoft... I fear this could turn out to be a major disappointment.

It looks somewhat promising. Pretty much GTA meets Deus Ex. The generic cover-based shooting scene is a downer.

The trailer seems to be quite scripted (at least they're always so thought-trough it's not far from fully scripted) though, and it has no release date. And it's from Ubisoft, so kind of a ***** on the PC, consumer-side. And it doesn't look that delicious. And it probably won't be without porting-based problems on the PC.

Well, it's certainly one to watch. I hope it's an RPG, where you can focus on the stealthy hacky stuff instead of the gunplay, like Deus Ex. Still, E3 trailer, scripted to be bad-ass, count me skeptical.

Just watched it. Holy fucking shit, take my money right now. The story looks fantastic (great VA, love the script, like the story theme), but I can see myself having buttloads of fun in the free-roam mode as well. Just hope they change the crosshairs, I hate having a dot for a crosshair, but that's really just a touch above the level of complaining about the art cover.

Can't wait. Definitely my number one anticipated game right now.

Looks cool, but what is it about?
My guess? You're part of some techno-terrorist/rebel group trying to loosen the tight grip corporations have on the flow of information. A sort of "Anonymous gets organised and weaponised" idea, I guess.

And I too was sort of semi-disappointed when they pulled out guns, but at the same time at least the shooting mechanics did look pretty solid. The weapons sounded meaty and the action felt visceral. I hope that they'll be able to dose it well, that these openly violent moments are relatively rare. That would only make them feel more powerful.

Now the things I worry about are the scriptedness of that demo. If that pile-up was entirely staged, then boo. If it was procedural, then holy crap that's awesome.

And massive kudos for the (facial) animations, lighting and water graphics.

Anyway, it looked way too good visually to be on current gen consoles. Was this PC footage? This will probably be their first next gen game.
It's on PS3, 360, and PC.
It was PC footage.

OT: Looked pretty good, and it does seem to be organic rather than scripted. I hope so, at any rate. I can kind of see this turning out like the first Assassin's Creed in that regard though, unfortunately.

I've only seen it in one other game that comes to mind. In Red Dead Redemption you can get John to tie a scarf over his face. Wearing it while committing crimes negates the negative effects to reputation and bounty levels... or something like that.

I'm thinking manipulating the traffic lights and other things to direct his convoy to a remote part of the city, block them in, then take them out like that. With a world that relies on electronics so much as ours, the potential for cyber-warfare gameplay is great.

Yeah it looks very interesting. Gonna keep my eyes on that one.
We'll see if the final product is as dynamic as it's looking in the video (cynical overload!).
But man those graphics. From what I've heard it's running on a PC in this demo, I don't think mine is powerful enough for this game.
I guess it's time for an upgrade!

To the store!
