Ha! Genius. Absolute genius.
If you listen really hard, you can hear the sound of CoD fans raging on the wind. xD

Captcha: pentran everything. I don't know why, but now I want to go out and buy stuff. Are there subliminal messages encoded in Captcha...?

There's absolutely no way this is EA.

It would set them up for a trademark infringement lawsuit so fast it'd be stupid. Activision would be required to defend the trademark under trademark law, and EA would be culpable under the cybersquatting laws.

There's just no defense they could put up. No fair use. It'd be open and shut and Activision could SQUEEEEEZE.

So... no. Not EA.

As for who really owns it... well... Activision would probably go after that guy too.

Still, funny troll is funny.

Registered through 'Domains By Proxy'? Maybe I'm getting mixed up, or maybe EA did it through a proxy to avoid any legal backlash?
The problem with that is that Domains By Proxy is committing that criminal act. Activision has to go after them now. They're going to get sued. And no, signing a waiver saying they're not legally responsible doesn't actually make them not legally responsible, as they're the registered owner of the domain.

In other words... if EA did it through them, Activision could find that out REALLY quickly.

Regardless of whether or not this was done by EA or DICE it is rather funny. Well played troll, well played. Though if this actually was EA or DICE they could be in legal trouble soon.

For some reason, I feel even more content with preordering BF3. Bravo EA, share a bottle of wine with me please.

You know, EA may be a big, evil, soulless corporation, but so is Activion, but hell, when it comes to publisher wars, EA makes me laugh the most. I'm currently keeping "funny points" in a separate category from "dick points" so I can feel good about them once in a while.

EA didn't do this. That sitename was actually a proper privately run site that got hacked from what Ive heard. Also yaaaa...EA wouldnt do that, its smart but too much backlash possible.

I don't get the joke. I click a link for MW3 and it takes me to MW3's site.
oh.. i see what you did there. generic FPS. even though battlefield kind of isn't. it'd be like saying new flashpoint and ARMA are the same, when they clearly arn't

anyway your joke, and others to by now falls flat on it's face when the first thing you see is battlefield 3 written everywhere. just saying
