They obviously did this PURELY to get people to stop posting on the support forum.

Seriously, who wants to risk getting banned from their games? That's potentially losing hundreds of dollars, so what the hell? More importantly, BANNED FROM SINGLE PLAYER? Are they mad? Getting banned from multiplayer would be bad, but slightly less crazy. Banning someone from single player almost sounds like something from a chaotic dictatorship in some fantasy hell-hole world.
That would be like if Ubisoft got mad at me and sent someone to my house who stands next to my 360 and turns it off whenever I try to play Assassin's Creed.

I...... but.......... they... GAAAAAAAAH! I won't have to worry about this since I'm not on their forums (or a complete dickwad). However the magnitude of douchebaggery for EA to do such a thing, I think it would out weigh whatever a user would be banned for.

EDIT: I really have to get into the habit of reading the original post date for threads.

I think that EA is implying that "Consequences shall never be the same"
