I guess with the known fact that Zynga isnt doing any where near as good as it used to and they axed the majority of their staff who doubted the way Zynga was going (aka figuring a way to sell out massively via public listings etc) and deemed the cut staff as "weak" (theres a nice article or two on numerous business/news sites). I guess whoever it is whos stalking around supposedly pulling whatever contacts they have to try (and looks like fail) and keep bans sticking and whatever other obnoxious behaviour is trying to get themselves a job as an EA forum mod.Mekado said:

EA apparently needs to make some changes with their customer relations and TOS--as I read it, forum activity can lead to loss of access to your games.
I'm a little confused about the ban, because when I viewed your Battle Log profile page, it appears that you were in-game on 12/5. However, you implied on 12/6 that you were communicating with EA.

Two days ago was December 5th. *shrug* maybe I'm reading it wrong, or maybe you were still part of a team and joined automatically, whether you were present or not. You had a 0/0 record.
The other thing is the inconsistency which you refer to the post that apparently got you banned. You have been positive, 99% sure and 'can only conclude' that the post from another user--with your name in it--was why you were banned. You don't believe that you quoted the 'NBC' post.
Also, the support person you spoke with and recorded didn't seem to have much information about the specifics of the ban. Apparently, these issues need to be resolved online and not over the phone. I guess that was to show fraggotman or whoever how wrong he was--any other point to that recording?
Also, the email you posted on this thread about your 72-hour ban (which has apparently taken place) had a subject that read something like "Inappropriate content in profile". I don't know if that's the Battle Log profile which shows your latest posts on the forum or something else. That was--what, eight days before the ban? Do EA bans work like VAC bans in Steam, where they may be handed down a few days following the notice?

Banning MP games for forum asshattery is--well I guess I don't play much online other than EVE and the politicking on their forums is effectively part of the game. You lose your ass, not your access.

because by doing this it scares people away from the forums and makes it even more inactive.
Maybe if they understood that in the gaming world and forums, things will not be sunshine, rainbows, and FCC censors. And I mean COME ON removing their access to their games? That's just a dick move. Purely dick move.

EA has been acting like a spoiled kid for the past decade or so, always pushing the envelope to see what nefarious deeds they can get away with. I'm glad people are calling them out on stuff like this. It would be nice if EA at least pretended to care about its customers.

I'm going to stick to console versions of your games, but should that shit leak out onto 360 I'm giving you my Activision treatment - never buying a game again until you change your business practice. Play fair or don't play at all, it's the consumers who hold all the cards so stop pretending you do. Under Bankruptcy you lose all IP; other publishers, ones in our good books, will clean up those rights whilst the same developers will make the same games just with a different logo on the box.

I'm kind of late to the Party, but glad you have finally got things sorted.
But what's the best plan of action for people in similar situations to yourself. I have tried going through the same channels as you have but I've hit a brick wall. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. EA is the Satan of the gaming industry and I hate them with an absolute passion. It annoys me more that they bought Bioware, who are my favourite game developers ever. I think I will be choking on my own vomit knowing I'm handing them money for a copy of Mass Effect 3.
