Pot, meet kettle. You're a baseless Valve hater, or at least you have exactly the same amount of grounds for hating Valve as most people do for EA.Sober Thal said:Oh you baseless EA haters, you'll ruin us all!

Can we hate both? Is that a viable option. Not that I hate either of them (I just disagree with some of the business practices that EA uses and Valve. Um they control too much of the digital market)leet_x1337 said:Pot, meet kettle. Left 4 Dead is co-op/survival/objective based. Dota 2 (which I've heard is basically finished except for a couple things they want to polish) is RTS. Portal 2 is a puzzle game, and while it does have a co-op campaign, the solo story is just as good. Call of Duty is a deathmatch shooter. You're comparing apples to oranges there.Sober Thal said:I don't hate Valve, I just dislike them.leet_x1337 said:Pot, meet kettle. Does that mean I'm at a herp durp moment? (probably)
Maybe...but I can still name more Valve games I dislike, that I can name EA/Bioware titles I thought sucked. Since Valve only releases a game every 8 years, the list will be one sided, so I won't get into that. But as far as great games, EA has Valve by a margin of about 5 to 10.
I know, it sucks that Valve stopped making games so many years ago, but we can still be helpless sheep and hope for the best, eh? That, or we can settle for the co-op multiplayer CoD shit that they have been releasing for the past few years.
Cheers!!
How about people who have legitimate problems with EA?Sober Thal said:Oh you baseless EA haters, you'll ruin us all!
Portal 2 is. And are we talking about one Call of Duty game here? Against Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two and (okay, fine) Portal 2? Also, you just said "Portal isn't a Valve title", yet by that definition, all those "EA games" you just mentioned? Aren't actually EA games. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are Bioware games, Battlefield 3 is a DICE game, I could go on a pretty long way (Edit: if I had a Wikipedia tab open.)Sober Thal said:Apples, oranges, pears, carrots, peaches... whatever.leet_x1337 said:Left 4 Dead is co-op/survival/objective based. CoD has more single player campaign time than all of Valves titles do in the last 10 years. Not sure what your point is here.
EDIT: Also, Portal isn't really a Valve game fyi.
Contradict yourself much? Compare valve and CoD for their coop multiplayer, and then bring up campaign? Also, did you just cite a CoD campaign as a plus for their games? I'm pretty sure you're just trolling at this point...Sober Thal said:Apples, oranges, pears, carrots, peaches... whatever.leet_x1337 said:Left 4 Dead is co-op/survival/objective based. Ah, no. The agreement to suspend their exclusive bullshit sports games rights was a different agreement and other parties will raise hell if they go back on that, me thinks.ForgottenPr0digy said:so does this mean EA still own the license to make the only NFL and NCAA football games?
Actually, I'm pretty sure that Activision being Activision, they'd somehow find a way to make the sports games even more unplayable than they already are. I wouldn't be surprised, rather, I'd recline my my chair with my hands behind my head and cackle at all the mediocrity.Thoric485 said:I'd love to see Activision-Blizzard enter the sports market. The only thing EA will have to brag about then will be The Sims.
Game is made using their resources, workforce, engine, writers and voice actors. If you still insist to believe that Narbacular Drop was exactly like portal, i won't stop you though do you really think that concept would get as popular as it is without Valve's contribution and overhaul to the project?Sober Thal said:snip
