so i havae me3 on pc and wanted to play mutiplayer, when i booted the game up i discovered that the EA severs were down. oh well i thought, ill just play the single player game for a while, but as i have DLCs, the game wanted to verify them, ( and since the severs are down, it could't) so i wasnt able to play the game at all.

so my questions to you guys is this.

1. is there a way to play single player while ea severs are down

2. do you think this obstrusive means of DRM is stupid

1. No I don't believe so at least not with the DLC.

2. Yes, like most of the things EA does this is really stupid, other companies do this as well though. No it doesn't make it any less stupid.

1. I'm pretty sure there is, since the pirates don't seem to have any trouble. But you'll have to do some googling, since point out the location would probably put me on the wrong side of the rules.

(Note to mods with itchy trigger fingers: Not advocating piracy, he already owns the damn game!)

2. I think most methods of DRM are stupid. For reasons why, see #1

1. You might be able to play using a crack version of the launcher, technically you're not doing anything wrong... I think...

2. It's overdone by EA, Steam has it in a way but at least they still let you play offline >.>

Never had anything to do with EA's sewers. Never had to do any snaking, unclogging nor emptying there, so no idea.

Some effort put into writing never hurts.

I can only assume that playing while the servers are down is a PC only problem...because I single player while disconnected from XBox Live quite literally all day yesterday. As in didn't even have an ethernet cord going to my XBox.

not once did i make a mistake spelling "severs", and if your not going to be helpful, please go somewhere else.
Well, you did, since the word is servers.

Anyway yes, it's stupid.

Your major issue hat I can see is that you bought Mass Effect 3 for the PC. Now the computer is a good platform for games don't get me wrong, but a rather stupid company by the name of EA decided that they wanted to be the biggest bastard they could be with it and maybe break a few laws as well. Long story short you are boned, go download a cracked copy of the game, (I assume you already have a legitimate copy so there is no lost sale for the retarded corporation) and have fun without having to deal with Origin or EA and let this serve as a lesson to you.

so if you happen to have DLC then the game will want to verify it EVERY SINGLE TIME meaning you cant use offline mode?

Im pretty sure it is. Hell Blazblue needs to verify it every time I go online, I can't even use my DLC characters unless I am online so im pretty sure that a company like EA will do that in all it's products, even if it's free DLC.

Every time, even when its already verified, you go onto multiplayer then back to the main menu, it decides it needs to verify again, so not only is it a pain in the ass, its also dumb as a post.
