It just adds 24 hours. It tracks how many times you press it. There might be a badge associated with how many times you press it, but I wouldn't know anything about that.

You know, usually I'm all for pressing shiny red buttons...

Yes, for each time you press it. If you press it again after you pressed it the first time, 24 hours turns into 48.

Same here. It was painful to look at. What I was suggesting was that someone click it, leave the escapist for a day, and come back when it is gone. That's what I did, and even those brief seconds where I was online were torture.

Want a quick and easy badge for your profile? The Escapist totally just implemented a freaking gimme badge- all you gotta do is find someone with it and then click the badge in his or her profile. In fact, you can get it from me if you want. It's the little red button that should be displayed under my avatar. Just letting everyone know. The Escapist should definitely make these harder to get.

I don't see why everyone overreacts over the button. All it does is temporarily change everyone's avatar from the button pushers point of view. I could think of better things to happen!

Every word is replaced with Swahili, CAPTCHAs are impossible to decipher, the entire site is viewed upside down, the entire site is viewed in negative...
