Even a near mint Lotus signed by the artist tops out at $12,000, I doubt he'll make anything like his estimate.

That much money needs to go to something much more worth investing in.

Like ending cancer.
The same could be said for buying a house instead of renting, cancer research could also spend far more than that without it making a damn bit of difference.

I just printed that card out. I saved $100,000, and now there are seven in the world. ;)

This will fail. How do I know this? Because I and everyone I know who's ever had a Pokemon phase has stacks of these cards, ranging across several editions/generations, and we can't move a single fucking card due the often overlooked fact that no one collects Pokemon cards anymore, and thus aren't willing to pay money to take them off your hands.

Sure, you'll find that rare individual, who probably owns 50 Pikachu plushies to go along with their Sonic The Hedgehog collection that may take a few stacks of cards, but those are few and far between (I hope).

Even if I had the one-and-only Egyptian Mew card, I probably wouldn't be able to get more than a month's worth of rent for it.
