really? what difficulty do you have it on? I mean Kahn is hard...and I mean REALLY hard but hes far from "unbeatable". and yes raiden isnt exactly bruce lee either.

but as an acctual solution, you can change the story difficulty in the options menu.

Despite my never playing Mortal Kombat again rant you guys gave me renewed hope, so i went back to the drawing board and managed to beat him in both Normal and Hard mode.

And i managed to do it with my controller intact!

Ill admit the that shao kahn isnt for the faint of heart but if you know your way around your character it should be just a matter of having experience with the fight

I mananged getting a flawless victory on him on hard with ermac and sub zero in tag ladder so the fight isnt impossible to do well on...

Dude, calm down! As mentioned, Shao Khan really isn't that hard to beat, and if you're indeed a life-long fan of the series, he's by no means the hardest end boss ever! Just re-think your strategy, and you'll get it.

Teleport when he attacks, hit him a few times, run away, when he goes to attack again, teleport, attack, run away. Rinse and repeat. Took me maybe half hour. Still lost a bunch of times though. If its really too hard, just play the game on a lower difficulty.

Yes, I felt like this too, actually, I loved the game, still do, but I somehow that last boss battle completely turned me off to the game, so I just can't begin to play it anymore, even after I finished the game, effin Shao Khan... It is pretty satisfying when you finally succeeds in beating the crap out of him though.

lol, the last boss in Street Fighter 4 was horrible too. He could chain spinning piledrivers like noone else

I got a lot of satisfaction from beating Seth in SFIV (with a keyboard!), but from what I can tell, Shao Khan is just a crappy ending.

MK3 Shao Kahn is worse. I remember my brother was playing it (he had Ultimate MK3 on N64) as Rain with auot combos on because he sucks. He got up to Shao Kahn and got brutally slaughtered everytime. I disticntly remember on a few of his fights (if you could call it that) Shao Kahn did his unblockable instant shoulder charge right from the start and spammed him to death.

I remember back in the day I almost broke a controller while getting frustrated by Perfect Dark on the N64. Granted, after playing the XBLA re-release, now I know it was just bad coding from Rare and not my fault.

Also, Seth from Street Fighter IV can get the best out of anyone.
