Edd Gould, the creator of Eddsworld, a flash animation series died on Sunday after a 6 year battle with cancer. God I'm going to miss him. RIP Edd, RIP.

I'm... I'm speechless. Utterly Speechless, and even while sick he continued to make animations for us. I'd say any and all of us fans owe him far more respect then we give him.

Never heard of the guy before clicking on this thread but yeah, my thoughts go to his friends and family.

I can hope they try some sort of fundraiser to donate to a cancer research institute, at least then his death would have some positive effect.

As another Animator, and someone who deeply loved Eddsworld a lot, it is so so sad to see someone as amazing as him go. I knew he had cancer, but I thought he was beating it. It really stinks when things turn for the worse.

R.I.P. Edd. R.I.P.

Bummer, though I always thought he sucked on a professional level.

You do realize the golden age of flash animation took place in the 90s right? Flash animations were already old news and diminishing in popularity when he hit the scene. That's like saying Jonah Hill is one of the first comedy actors to make it big based on being a fatass.
What are you talking about I know he was a bit later to the scene but he was far from coming in during the diminishing popularity. I have been producing flash animations since I was a kid I know all about flash animation and all the big authors. Edd's world may not have been the most popular out there but it was a very worthy series and was defiantly memorable and note worthy.

Wow... I found out an hour ago and like when I find anything out I've been... Learning as much as I can. I've watched a ton of RIP videos, researched a lot of his videos...

He was an inspiration to me who can keep me laughing from beyond the grave. He's one of the reasons I'm aspiring to be a cartoonist.

R.I.P Edd. I'm sorry I kept forgetting to subscribe, but I subscribe to channels I'm afraid I'll forget about, and I could never forget about yours.

He was truly a great man. There's not much I can really say about him, other than that I'm very deeply sad about this. He was, no, still IS a huge inspiration to me, even though I've never me him in real life. There was just his little touch that made his animations so funny.

Rest In Peace, Edd Gould. You didn't deserve to die so young. At least you're in a better place now.

I've only seen a few of his videos, but he seemed like a great guy with a great quirky sense of humor.

Such a shame, R.I.P.

Holly fuck! One piece of bad news after another! First a tension bar broke off the suspension of my truck then a comedy legend upon whom I admired just dies! Fuck!

Oh man. Yeah, I heard. I knew he had cancer but... you never expect death, even if it's staring you in the face. Never.

The thought that he's... just not there anymore. I can't act like I know him personally, but he seemed like a very talented, hard-working young man who was able to make the absolute best out of a terrible situation. And considering the big impact he had on a mass medium like the internet, I think it's safe to say that the world is worse off without him.

I hope it was a peaceful passing. He deserves it.

I was going to post this as well.

A really truly sad day for all of his fans. He has given me and many friends so much joy in the past, this is a really tragic loss.
