I've watched every single Eddsworld animation and knew he had had cancer... he had it, he got better, he got it again and well... this time he didn't get better... yet he kept animating.

Just looked on Wikipedia and though he hasn't got a page himself he is mentioned on the page for Eddsworld and the final line about him simply says:

He was considered awesome by the majority of the internet.
I mean this:
Got shown to all of the world leaders at the Copenhagen climate change conference... just

Hearing this genuinely brought tears to my eyes... didn't cry but that really sad feeling when your eyes swell up...

RIP Edd.

Goddam...

I can't say that I knew him personally, and I only just recently discovered his movies, but when you hear news like this... Shit, you don't know what to feel. Nothing positive, that's for sure. I sorta thought he was doing damn well fighting cancer, what with the videos that he was posting, but now... Shit, man.

I also just saw the videos made by Tom, Bing, and Matt and they sounded devastated. Bing especially. But it sounds like Edd had a lot of good friends by his side. I know that's how I would want to go down. Good thing he was with loved ones in his final hours.

RIP, Edd. You will be missed.

I saw this on 4chan a while ago, thought it was fake, then it turns out, it was real... No words come to mind, I loved his stuff... Makes me scared too, sense I had cancer a while back, and he was only 2 years older then me.

Well, shit. And here I was thinking I could have a nice happy week. Rest in peace, Edd. This has an even sourer taint hanging over it because there are people trolling the comments section of RIP Edd video. I already knew people are assholes, but seriously? I don't know whether to feel sorry for them or punch them in the throat...

Well this week is turning out to be pretty shit. First GAME shuts down and now (In my opinion) one of the funniest, talented and bravest people that have used their talents to provide some humor to an internet filled with whiny, ungrateful brats who couldn't be bothered to put something nice on the video of his friends informing us of his death, has died. Rest in peace Edd Gould. Hope you felt that you had a good run.

Must... resist... Pixies reference [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvJ8u_zsOkU]...<.<

OT: I've never seen any of his stuff... but it's always a sad thing when such an influential person of any community dies...

Yikes, Edd was barely a year older than I am now. What if I have cancer? Maybe I just don't know it! Any one of us could be harboring a terminal illness RIGHT NOW.

I am not going to be sleeping tonight.

R.I.P. Edd, he was too good for this universe, at least he went out with dignity.

Getting a test could save your life, y'know.

I've only just discovered Edd's movies myself, and I'm disappointed such a talented man has met such a tragic, premature end.

Aye, I heard the news today. I've been wearing my lone homestarrunner shirt ever since.

Came as a great shock to me, I discovered him about midway through the last decade, fell in love with his videos, watched as his fame deservedly grew and grew, supported him when hs cancer picked up (and he selflessly supported our addiction to his videos). Hell, he even posted a comment to my Youtube profile way back in the day.

While it is sad, in a way I don't think that brilliantly mad Brit in his magnificent green hoodie would want us to be sad, not after all those laughs.

So here's to you Edd, may you of the gods of my younger days rest peacefully, old friend:

Thx to him I got to know some cool animators and comedians on youtube. Knew he had cancer, but due to the fact that everyone was cheering for him and stating that he'll make it i never ever thought this will ever happen.

I feel like an idiot when I say I've never watched any of his videos. I just watched that climate change video; it's pretty good.
Either way, it's always sad to see someone lose their battle. My condolences to his family, friends and the entire internet.

Damn. That's not swell, that's not swell at all. :( I mean it's one thing that he died so young, but the fact that he'd already had to battle through it once before only for it to come back to take him later on, that's really just cruel. But even through it all, he never lost the passion for what he did, you've got to admire that. He's going to be missed.
