Today, we will take this thread and change it into...YOU EVIL DOUBLE!
I am not certain what games have made use of the evil twin, aside from fighting games which is...not exactly true, really. What games have, though? That is what I wish to know, here and now?
The game takes control over a young orphan called Cyprien, who is taken to a nightmarish world and possesses the ability to transform into a Super version of himself. His alter-ego, Supercyp aids him in his journey to Loren Darith to free his teddy bear, Lenny.
The random shit you find when you go searching "Evil Twins in video games" on Google.
This was apparently never released in the US, which is why I have no memory of it.
Yes she did, tho I think it was just called doppelganger
Hmmm I actually can?t think of any others tho its one of those things you expect to be common. PoP maybe? Na that was split personality, not evil twin.
I seem to recall hearing something about not only a Dark Samus, but then you also have the SA-X from Metroid Fusion. So, Samus Aran has TWO evil twins.
I...actually don't know the story behind Dark Samus. Someone wanna clue me in?
Once upon a time there was a meteor. And the meteor impacted a world known as Tallon IV. And with it, was brought a virulent radiation-spewing[footnote]Yet somehow stable and not in any sort of radioactive decay at all[/footnote] substance known as Phazon. The phazon began slowly corrupting the entire planet, seeping outward from the impact site. Inside the meteor, generating the phazon, was a monstrous entity of questionable intelligence known as Metroid Prime.
Samus blasted its sorry carapace to oblivion.
Well, okay, I must recount that earlier, through some space pirate hunting shenanigans, Samus's Power Suit got corrupted with phazon. This caused a bit of the Phazon to grow and mature in tandem with the Power Suit.
Fast forward to the defeat of Prime.
In a last ditch effort to to either absorb Samus or simply take her with it, the essence of Metroid Prime reached out and tried to pull Samus into its body. This somehow caused the phazon!Suit to separate from Samus's Power Suit. Since the Power Suit has a synergistic relationship with Samus's physiology, Prime no doubt got traces of Samus's DNA.
An unspecified time later, deep within the impact site, Prime was able to regenerate using the rudimentary Phazon Suit as a host body. A bit of biological restructuring later, and Dark Samus was born.
All throughout Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Prime is taking its (or should I say 'her') new body out for a spin. A parallel catastrophe happened on the planet Aether. Dark Samus went there to seek out more Phazon to further develop her powers and familiarity with the Phazon Suit. While she is a key element of the plot, she is not the central focus. She is the primary focus in Prime 3, however, where she seizes control of the entire Space Pirate command structure to try and spread Phazon throughout the galaxy.
Samus totally ends up trouncing her doppelganger a grand total of five times and ends up destroying the source of all Phazon throughout the galaxy in the process.
My thread It is stolen!
Oh well Kingdom Hearts had lost of twin esque characters like the nobodys or some of the heartless who look like a silhouette of Sora.
Do we count Dante and Virgil from Devil May Cry? I know they were brothers, not twins, but I believe Virgil was doing something evil while Dante was busy trying to save the world.
(I only played the first game and part of the fourth and barely remember the plots to either).
Metal Sonic, mayhaps? I know he's not made from Sonic's DNA (as far as we know, anyway. After all, that Robotnik's a crafty bastard sometimes), but he's still an evil doppelganger.
That's all I could find from TVTropes that hasn't already been used. Come on, guys!
Alright fine. But I thought it was a pretty easy thing to infer based on Dark Samus's scan info in Prime 2 and a certain carcass found somewhere on the final planet in Prime 3.
