EDIT: What characters do you want to see in Playstation All Stars Battle Royale?

So yeah it's pretty much accepted confirmed that the PlayStation version of Super Smash Bros. is real. That being the case, which characters do you want to see and why? I'd tell you mine but I'd rather not get a bunch of 'Damn! Ninja'd!' responses[footnote]The laws of the internet dictate that this will now happen anyway[/footnote][footnote]It seems that did not actually happen[/footnote]

I think Ratchet (Ratchet and Clank series) and/or Jak (Jak series) will be included. Ratchet is more of a weapon-based fighter and he could have a goofy/awesome fighting style, given all of his cool/wacky weapons and inventions. Jak also has weapons, but he is more melee than Ratchet and if there is some item that invokes a super move/state, Jak can go either Dark Jak or Light Jak and completely dominate the other characters.

I would personally like to see Musashi (either the PS1 or PS2 incarnation) in the game to fill both the retro cast of characters and as a solid swordsman with some special attacks.

it'd be sweet to have ratchet and clank as a kind of "ice climbers" type character/fighter.

OT: well snake was used in super smash bros...so i'll take nathan drake as playing a snake type character

otherwise crash bandicoot for sure (link type character with the whirlwind attack)

maybe a final fantasy character? it'd draw lots of fans to it i'm sure. hm..kratos for sure, maybe a popular dynasty warriors character?

cole from infamous would be nice.

i'm not too sure on all the ps characters...alot of 3rd party to draw from.

Hell, I've been playing through the first Spyro again and it's enjoyable though controls on a keyboard are abit wonky

Damn it! I almost forgot...Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill series.

He could be a Juggernaut-style character: slow moving, large damage output, and resilient to almost all forms of attacks.

If this gets made, it's a foregone conclusion that Jak, Ratchet, and Sly will all be in it. Those guys were icons of the ps2. I would expect kratos as well, unless they aim it at a younger audience. I imagine that Cole and Nathan Drake will be included too, to more represent the ps3.

I'd like to see Wander from shadow of the colossus in there, mumbling gibberish at everyone, and if not, some of the colossi could make an appearance poke-ball style. I think they could also possibly use naked snake/old snake, provided they could give him some distinctive features over solid.

I think the problem they might run into is that, although they have plenty of choice from third-party games, they don't quite have characters as well known as nintendo did when they started making the smash bros games. For example, I have never owned a piece of nintendo hardware. Ever. And yet when I play smash bros with friends, I'm still aware of who many of the characters are. A sony version probably won't have the same instant recognition factor.

Okay okay okay okay. This is the first I've heard of this, but I am PSYCHED now. I'll be rotating Link vs. Mario and Jak vs. Sly on the same TV within minutes of each other!

Now, for a playstation smash bros., an absolute must is the "big 3" of the PS2 platformers:

Jak(and daxter), Ratchet(and Clank), and Sly(Murray+Bently).

Those guys made the ps2 for me. So memorable, and easily turned into fighters. They have so much history to go off of, after all.
