I guess what I'm saying is that an ending, good or bad, should be "earned".With the Broken Steel DLC, Fawkes will not refuse and survive the nuke chamber, extending the main quest now that you have lived.
I got that DLC but never bothered to play the main quest until the end with it. Why didn't they just do this with the original damn game??!!!
