Urgal was staggered back, bleeding profusely from his left arm where a vicious lunge from a clawed hand had sliced the flesh in four neat thin red lines. He was swinging his remaining mace valiantly with both hands, attempting to reach his other mace that was still embedded in a collapsed skull some distance away. He only usually threw his mace when not surrounded, but Lloden being hunched over, blade in hand and seemingly in pain had been in danger of being attacked from behind.

He looked around him for a second to see his comrades similarly overwhelmed, taking cover and hastily swigging Dro'Araaj's potions. Even this seconds glance cost him, as an iron war axe lodged itself deeply in between Urgal's knuckles on his right hand.

Urgal roared ferally which echoed around the cave as he punched the offending thrall in the throat using the iron axe as a makeshift knuckleduster. It came loose from Urgal's still clenched fist revealing empty space an inch deep pulsing dark, red blood every half second, like wine flowing forth from a bottle.

Urgal's vision blurred and he felt the pain fade as the natural defence mechanism of Orismer berserk rage kicked in. He charged two shambling thralls to the ground and planted a mace blow in another's chest in a bid to reach his discarded weapon. He no longer wished to fight to survive or to protect his allies. He was driven by another, more destructive force that wished only to die trying, and decimate as many as he could before he did so.

He headbutted an iron helmet wearing thrall denting the helm slightly, but cutting a bloody ridge across his eyebrow in the process. He had reached his goal and stretched out a clenching broken hand to the handle of his weapon. But the mace wasn't it's usual bottle green hue of orsinium, in fact it had been replaced by an ebony material clearly of daedric origin, which furrowed between his knuckles as he grasped it, weaving patterns over his wound and halfway up his wrist.

Urgal Gro Lee, you have proven yourself worthy and defended my name and honour. Today you could die and join me in my eternal exile, but I have another fate for you. Take Scourge and punish all of those who defy me and would rob you of this destiny.

Urgal had no time to think or take this in at all as a storm Atronarch was spinning rapidly towards where he was stood. He lashed out with Scourge which seemingly had no effect, until a Dremora appeared in front of him and took the incoming blow on his shield. The Dremora then parried which stalled the spinning lightning creature enough so as Urgal had the chance to crush it's rocky head between Scourge and his other mace in a powerful clashing of the two weapons, which sent a streak of electrical sparks gracefully soaring overhead.

The time elapsed between his knuckles being split and this point had seemed like an age to Urgal, but really can't have been much more than half a minute. The rest of his comrades seemed to be on better footing than when he last looked, but were still struggling to turn the tide against the necromancers.

Enthir ran towards Urgal and cast a healing circle on the ground, Joncis soon followed while Endya covered them from the pillar. Everyone within the circle had their wounds slowly mended, and as Joncis shot lightning over the wall, killing two of the necromancers, Enthir lay down, tired from the spell.
''We're nearly at the tomb'' Joncis said, spraying the front with fire to stop atronachs from getting through ''Give me a minute to catch my breath'' Enthir sighed, at least the circle made him catch his breath faster.

"Too. Many. Fucking. NECROMANCERS!" Anruin yelled, felling a skeleton with every word. He always wondered 'why use silver?'. He had a pretty good idea now, seeing how the undead disintegrated as he swung.

A glance back towards Lloden revealed he was still out. It also made it so he didn't see the archer. He turned towards his sword arm which no longer obeyed his commands, and saw he had grown a new, wooden appendage. He barely noticed the sword had fallen out of his grasp.

He looked over his opponents. Several skeletons. The adrenaline , and the regrouping of his enemies, allowed him to think as to WHY they were here, and not attacking his group. His mind became a beehive,
'Perhaps they're blocking our exit? Or they're keeping others out? There are a lot of necromancers here, have they been here long? Did that village know of these people? Will I die here?' One took a hesitant step forward. 'Testing me.' Anruin raised his working arm to cast. What, he didn't know, but the skeletons stepped back. The necromancer controlling them was trying to think up a new tactic, Anruin guessed.

A swarm of bats flew passed him, from the direction they entered the cave. The bats swirled and formed a figure. It hovered in the air, arms crossed. Suddenly, he raised one of his claws, pointing at the Necromancer hiding behind the small army. The necromancer started floating towards the figure, clutching his throat, until a loud SNAP erupted through the room, and everything that wasn't Anruin and his new ally dropped.

Smoke formed around the figure, and Amiel looked back at him, grim smile across his face.
"Perks to being a vampire, we can do things like that." Amiel looked towards where the rest of the group, his eyes glowing a soft red. "I assume those are your friends. I'll go see what I can do to help." At that, he turned back into bats, and flew off.

Anruin sighed, and cast invisibility over himself and Lloden. They were useless with his injury, and Llodens unconsciousness. He'd wait out the fight, Lloden could do what he wished when or if he woke up. He took out his flask. Empty. He threw it at the wall,
"Worst 20 gold ever spent." he said, and began laughing.

Dro'Araaj tossed a potion of restore fatigue to Enthir, then proceeded to add his own magical fire to the blaze Joncis was creating. He reached into his ingredient pouch with his free hand and pulled out a container of dwemer oil, then lobbed it through the flames, it smashed open on the atronarchs and set them ablaze.

A few more thralls pushed through the flames, Dro'Araaj hit them with a repulse undead spell, sending them fleeing back through the inferno. He began to smile, things were going surprisingly well.

Amiel watched the group from above. They were doing well, and killing everything that got close to them, and even some far away. He figured he couldn't explain the situation quickly enough to not get killed. He decided to use some guerrilla tactics, swooping down on a necromancer, quietly slitting his neck, and flying back to the top of the cave. Some skeletons fell, leaving a more open pathway to the central chamber.
'Speaking of which...' he swooped in for a closer look.

Two men, at least that he could tell their ebony armor made it difficult, were guarding the door. Both wielded claymores the size of Amiel. They didn't seem to react to him, so they probably only attacked the living. He flew in to get a better look at their operation. There were 4 necromancers chanting, with one in the corner controlling the guards if he had to guess. He flew back out to watch the groups progress, noting the orcs' weapon.
'Daedra worshiper? Probably, most orcs are. Mala-something.'

Lloden came over the hill, a bag of game on his shoulder. A little house stood on the bay, the sun setting over the sea framing it in golden light. He whistled a little tune, and a tall, strikingly beautiful altmer woman appeared in the door.
"You're late." She said, fighting a smile. She walked out to the little gate, and opened it for him. She took the bag of game and planted a kiss on his cheek. "The little one missed you."
At that moment, a shrill shout came from inside the house.
"Papa!" A young altmer girl sprinted out and jumped onto Lloden's chest. She threw her arms around his neck, and he wrapped his arms around her. She leaned close to his ear..
"[small]You know it's not real...[/small]"
A flash.
The same hill. Same house. Burned. Scorched. Levelled. The little garden ground into mud, the fence ripped up and tossed away. A scream. His bow arm pulling and loosing without hesitation or feeling at men he had once called brothers. His wife, dead and mutilated in their bedroom. His daughter, gone. Missing.
He hunted. They blamed him. Said he had done it that he had killed them. His daughter was sold, somewhere. No one could tell him where. He cut off fingers, toes, arms, legs. Did terrible things for a glimpse of his missing daughter. No luck.
His sister in law, a monk of some martial prowess was tracking him. Hunting him as he hunted the men who destroyed his life.

Lloden sat up with a start. He grasped his black sword in his left hand, the silver in his right.
"Whatever it takes... I will find you." He whispered to his daughter. He pushed away all the feelings that had sprung up since that day, and replaced them with sheer rage. He saw how bad his companions were doing.
With a couple strides, he waded into the thick of the battle, his swords darting this way and that, felling a skeleton or necromancer with every blow.

Anruin felt that Lloden had gotten up, and heard him whisper something about his 'finding' someone. He saw skeletons fall, half disintegrated the other having their souls fly out of their body, hovering there.
'No soul gems.' Anruin thought, grimly. They'd float there forever or until someone harvested them.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amiel remained hovering over the action. The group pushed forward, slowly but surely. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw undead fall for seemingly no reason. A Dunmer appears in the middle of the action, mid swing into a skeletons skull. Amiel flew down.
"Hello, psycho elf. You seem to be angry. Care to direct that to the skeletons to your left, there's a necromancer back there who's fortified his position, and a distraction might be nice."

Lloden grunted and pivoted to his left. His attacks were fast and ruthless, completely lacking in anything like technique. But behind them was the cold rage only an elf cold muster. He blocked, parried and struck almost without thinking, allowing his soul piece to show him the way. He felt part of it detach from him, and fly above the battle. In his mind, he saw the battle from above.. The adventurers were in a bad way, mostly. Anruin was hurt, Araaj was frantically tossing potions to people, while the others fought as best they could.
He saw his target, a Breton hiding in an alclove with skeletons all around him. He struck quickly, cleaving a path through them easily. At the alcove, he cleared a space around himself, before driving his swords into the man. He stepped back, and turned around.
The necromancers were losing ground faster now. The bats swooping down and killing choice targets made themes much easier on the group, who were regrouping to charge again. Lloden charged straight back into the battle.

By now the group was in full strength, Endya jumped down, ducked an oncoming slash of lightning while darting towards the circle, another bolt zipped past her head before Joncis and Dro'Araaj were seen shooting a flurry of magic at them and moving out of cover, while Enthir stayed close behind, defending with the Atronachs. A mage thrall was about to strike fire from her left before Astoph jumped in front of Endya before it hit and the magic bounced off his armor to hit one of the pillars. The thrall was quickly turned to ash by a burst of energy from Dro'Araaj while Endya and Astoph made their way towards the tomb.

Joncis blew the tomb open, it was a large open area. Inside were about a dozen necromancers and their thralls. Their leader, who was up near a pedestal behind a tomb, Ordered their attack and immediately they got to cover behind some slabs of rock.
Enthir threw up a ward to stop incoming projectiles, while Joncis and Astoph took to the left, with Joncis shooting fireballs to make them easy pickings for Endya, while Astoph tried his best to find cover while stopping lightning from hitting them.

Amiel hovered above the group once more, noting the new Necromancers. If he had to guess, he'd say they were redoubling their efforts after seeing so many cut down. He was willing to wait it out to see what the spell was, but the group would probably finish them all off before then.

He turned back to his most human form, drinking the blood of their leader. Bitter, but rich. Instead of falling over, the skeletons began to obey Amiel, so he ordered them to help the group. Amiel decided to reveal himself as their helper, so he strolled up to the one with the weird blade and the Atronachs.
"Hello, my name is Amiel, friend of Anruin and owner of the skeletons helping you. I'd suggest breaking their circle now."

''Just how many sellswords has the Bosmer tried to recruit at this point?'' Endya shouted, jumping out of the way of a swinging battleaxe as Urgal threw a mace at the thrall's head. ''3 or 4 at this point Endya, yes, sorry, help clear out the room, the head of these necromancers are up the stairs and through a small door, try to avoid killing him before I get in'' he said, running up to stab a necromancer, his sword sliced through her with no effort, where upon she immediately burst into flames.
Joncis and Astoph were taking the bulk of the assault, the thralls more or less ignored them but the necromancers were relentless ''Can you use ANYTHING ranged?'' Joncis asked him, shooting a thunderbolt that hit 3 people, who soon fell to the ground from arrows in the face or a blast of energy.

"Sellsword?" Amiel looked at him, slightly confused. He noticed the mages were in trouble, so he used his bat form to get there quickly, using his vampiric grip as he came turned back to human, causing a necromancer to fly to him within stabbing range.

Urgal crushed skull after skull into dust in his blind rage. Scourge was a mace of power, fury, but also grace as it danced from snapped neck, to caved in chest, to broken spine in rhythm, mainly using his other mace as an aid to parry blows, such was the difference in their might.

More and more skeletons and thralls came pouring out of every nook and cranny in the cave, there was obviously one extremely powerful necromancer hidden further in the depths raising every body that he had stored away in his sordid little den for his strange experiments, and the group were gradually cutting through the masses swarming them, it was only a matter of time.

Lloden whirled through the weak skeletons. A few champions proved a stiffer challenge, but they fell as well. He eventually found himself in the tomb proper, as the mages struggled and lost ground before the incessant onslaught of skeletons. They weren't strong, but there were a bloody lot of them.
He slashed a few skeletons on the way, and saw the vampire swooping around. He wondered why it was there, but quickly pushed it out of his mind.
Questions later. Catharsis now. He went back to killing beasties.

Anruin sat down against a wall. The blood loss was starting to effect him. He kept the arrow in and was waiting patiently for the fight to be over. His last thoughts before slipping into unconsciousness was,
'Hope a skeleton doesn't find me.' he smiled and fell into a dreamless sleep.

Amiel decided to leave the battle for a quick second. He returned to human form and walked back to Anruin. His situation was bad, he'd need a healer soon.
'Or, you could turn him. That'd definately save him, and feed you. Win-win.' he pushed the thought out of his head, downing another blood potion. He felt the hairs on his neck stand up, and he quickly ducked a swing. The damn door guards were on him.
"Don't suppose you'd let me go into my Lord form, would you?" he asked, pulling out his dagger.

[sub]The vampire needs help. Go to him.[/sub]
A whisper in his ear, familiar. He turned and glanced quickly around the room. Two men in dark armor, wielding claymores to match, were approaching the vampire and Anruin. He quickly strode across the room, slashing at the skeletons still in the main chamber. They were starting to clear out, most dead or following the rest of the group to the tomb proper.
"Oi! S'wit! Fetcher!" he shouted at the guards. They turned and look at one another, nodded, and one turned towards Lloden, who lifted his swords- Where did I learn to fight with two swords?!- and prepared himself to fight the maybe-man.

Amiel used the opportunity to lift the second guys helmet, and smack him across the face. Fighting fair wasn't his forte. The female orc turned around, delivering a punch that sent him to the floor fast.
"You chipped a tooth. I need those." In the time she had used to laugh, he had turned into his lord form, and raised the bones and necromancers littered about the room.
"Swarm the *****." with a snap of his fingers, they did as he said. He decided to watch Llodens fight, waiting for his new minions to kill her. He smiled at his form, unusual but effective.

Lloden allowed memories from a life he'd never had show him how to fight like this. It was disconcerting, to say the least. A gift from the tall dunmer, he guessed.
The maybe swung low at him, aiming for his legs. He stepped back neatly, and brought his silver sword up, stepping forward. It lodged into the thing's stomach. It let out a roar, and swung wildly at his head. Lloden ducked, and kicked it's knee, which buckled with a satisfying crunch. He wrenched his blade free and kicked off it's helmet. He buried the black sword in it's head, not even looking at what it was. He didn't care. He was coming down off his rage, and the many small wounds he had accumulated hurt. He pulled his sword free, and sheathed both of them.
ruedyn said:
talkin' to the sparkly man.
"You're a friend of his, I take it." Lloden said to the vampire, nodding at Anruin. He walked slowly over to where the man was standing, grey skin and awful face and all.
"I've met your sire. Not a friendly guy, is he? Assuming, of course, you're one of Harkon's welps. I've never seen anyone looking like that who wasn't one of his. So forgive me if I've presumed incorrectly."

Amiel sighed, "No, I was bitten by one though. We killed many, but we failed that quest. Me, Anruin, and Sheva are the last survivors of that massacre." his face turned into a grimace, before a long exhale, and his half-hearted grin returned. "What about you, how did you meet the lord Harkon, and retain your mortal form? He isn't known for doing that sort of thing." Behind him his minions were dog-piling the she-orc.

Lloden scowled. "I'm not a typical case. My l-.. My captor manipulated me into bringing him something he needed, on the condition I wasn't harmed. I don't know the details. I just know a lot of people died for tricking me." He snorted.
"Why're you here, then? Not a place I would expect to see an ex-vampire hunter vampire, especially not a friend of Anruin's." A sly grin. "Unless, of course, you're on their side." He motioned at the necromancers.
