Hello,
I recently discovered that Nexus site with all the mods, and have been gleefully downloading stuff with reckless abandon. I've mostly been focussing on mods for Morrowind, Skyrim and Dragon Age: Origins, 'cause those are the PC games I'm playing on the home laptop right now until a get a proper gaming pc capable of running the Witcher games and GTA V properly.
So, just thought I'd float the query: are there any particular mods for Skyrim/Morrowind/Dragon Age that you would recommend/feel are absolutely essential for the game?
For Skyrim, I've SkyUI, which makes the menus less horrible, this joke one that replaces the loading screen messages with cynical ones and one that skips the horrible intro level. For Morrowind, I got one that takes away all the Cliff Racers (and thank Christ for that) and one that makes all attacks hit, because I found the RNG-based combat fiddly and disorienting and find being able to kill a maggot in two seconds like anyone should be able to makes more sense, as well as a teleporting ring that takes me to any major city. It's not quite fast travel, but it cuts down on the tedium. So does the faster walking mod.
Anyway, any more good mod suggestions?
Thanks,
-Quirky

Try the morrowloot mod for skyrim. It removes every weapon and armour piece above steel tier from the loot lists and hand places them in the world.

If you intend to become a vampire at any point, I'd suggest getting the "Better Vampires" mod. It adds an entire new level of gameplay to being a vampire, making it so that you actually get stronger by feeding more, unlocking new custom vampire powers and such.

Just going through the 'Most Endorsed' lists on the Nexus will yield you a lot. http://skyrimgems.com/ is also a good resource that highlights mods. Visual mods are varied, subjective, and are quickly updated, and if you're playing on a basic laptop may compromise your framerate, though you should at least consider using an ENB.
