methinks Bethesda should have put a little more effort in. That's the problem with MMOs, especially in today's market; they require a BIG commitment and are by nature slow burners. Not a good fit for the current climate, especially with even the biggest MMO (WoW) starting to decrease in importance.

Elder Scrolls Online is still a thing?

I honestly did not know that. And from what I'm reading here it's apparently gotten a lot better than it was at launch...Huh.

Not sure what you mean by this... The game is gorgeous and well designed. The quests are the most interesting you'll find in almost any MMO. They captured the look and feel of each zone perfectly. This game definitely does not lack for effort. Maybe it was launched a bit too early andh ad some bugs, but the core game is SOLID and they're coming out with lots of nice updates, fixes, and balancing post-launch.

It only launched 5 months ago... Did you really expect an MMO to have withered and died in under half a year? Even the big flop MMO's tough it out a bit longer than that.

Let me translate the P.R speak for you guys, ahem:
"This game is failing and we're fucking flailing around trying desperately to find any way to keep it operating without going free to play, because despite how much more money that would make us in the long term we don't want to let every single gamer be all smug about it since everyone predicted this would happen before the game was even launched."

TBH I am just waiting for that to finally happen, because I want to play it but no freakin' way am I paying a monthly sub on top of buying a box.

I just found the game boring. Fight in region until high enough level to move to next region, repeat.
