One of the reasons why I loved the Elder Scrolls Series is due to the fact that a warrior doesn't have to have just warrior skills. Want to smash your enemies heads wit a war-hammer then set their body on fire? Go ahead! The same can be said for Mages and Thieves. Summon a then Punch its brains out. This just shows the The Elder Scrolls Series allows you to focus on skills you want to use. For Example Many of my characters always use Lockpicking, Sneak, Conjuration, Destruction, with Blade skills, and in Skyrim most likely I'm gonna stick with theses five. What 5 skills do you usually focus on?

Dual dagger wielding, bow sniping, foxy stealth female character for me. That's what I'm going for in Skyrim anyway.

Agility, destruction magic and athletics. Healing magic as well and also blade for the daggers I use. Call it Blitzkreig because it's so fast

Sneaky sneaking sneaker (often caught skulking) with a dagger hotkeyed to 1, and the biggest baddest axey-est axe hotkeyed to 2.

hmmm just got oblivion a few month ago, and after I found out there was a guild devoted to assassinations(the dark brotherhood), I just fast traveled to each city to complete the missions, I've only had to explore one dungeon......
If i had to pick a play style it would be "Fast travel yayayyayay" (and stealth/daggers)

A bard in heavy armor. Either that or a Necromancer with an athletic streak (specifically only summon dead things and leg/leap it).

I've played so many different character types in Oblivion Morrowind and Daggerfall, each as nuanced as the other and I still come back and start as a new character.

When it comes to the main quest in each game I always play as a Warrior/knight/barbarian depending on the game. Come Skyrim I see myself playing as a Nord warrior with Destruction skills (ice spells only) and alteration (building on the warding greater power in Morrowind and Oblivion).

Usually stealth, arrows, athletics, acrobatics, bladed weapons, talky skills, light armour maybe lockpick. TBH it's a while since I played it...werent there 7 or 8 "major" skills...or were those class skills. Anyway I usually go for the nonmagical assassin type.

Also mods r teh awesum!

Vanguard Sorcerer.

I typically wield a long sword and wear light armor.
(sometimes heavy armor depending on the attitude of the character I am playing)

The rest of my skills are devoted to the magical arts.
Alteration, Conjuration, Mysticism, illusion and Restoration.

I remember I once made a fire spell with max distance and set it off in First edition, (after hours) and the books went everywhere xD

I first started playing as a combat/magic. I have since moved to magic/stealth because it is way more fun.

My 7 favourite major skills are; restoration, destruction, light armour, sneak, conjuration, blade and marksman.

Armourer and athletics are very handy too.

Custom spellsword variant, I guess?

Usually I rock out with the biggest, heaviest axe I can find and have a compliment of spells handy for whatever situations come up.

I'm to understand that Skyrim is going to make stealth and archery more fun, so maybe I'll try out some sort of sneaky Arcane Archer build.
