Now I haven't played any of the DLC yet, I'll just wait for the GOTY version and get all the DLC/Expansion packs at once.
So far none of the DLC's have really gotten me super excited. I like them all to a point and they seem like fun and interesting add-ons, but I don't know. Dragonborn looks kind of fun, but I think I like Dawnguard a little better. *I'm going by initial thoughts of when they both came out and all the facts I know about both of them*. I don't know everything about Dragonborn, but Flying Mounts is kind of a turn off for me.
Flying Mounts doesn't seem like it fits in an Elder Scrolls game and besides, the dragons are the characters main enemy, why would they let him ride them? It seems like a sellouty gimmick to appeal to fans, which is good I guess. You always hear people go, oooo wouldn't it be cool if we could ride dragons? It just doesn't do anything for me. Maybe they will do it in a way I will enjoy, but no matter how I look at all the ways they could implement flying mounts to the game, I just don't seem to like it.
Also the story doesn't really intrigue me as much as the Dawnguard one. However, I am liking the new area of Solstheim. It will be cool to see Morrowind and Skyrim asthetics kind of mix a bit, like in bloodmoon.
Well Elder Scrolls rarely disappoints me, so I am sure they will craft an decent story in this expansion pack. What interests me most about a expansion is, a new story, new characters, new setting and areas, new creatues, new weapon and armour set/items and really fleshing all that out. As opposed to new game mechanics, like riding dragons, crossbows or spears. Although I love that they put in Mounted Combat for free.
