Elevator Problems

So the scenario is: you're stuck in a elevator for twenty (20) hours.

What would you do- for your sanity? - to get out? - for boredom?

I was stuck in an airport for 30hours once, and luckily I could just freak people out by talking to them randomly- but in a elevator on your own?!

Sleep? Who knows. I usually have my IPod or some other device to occupy my time on me.

Probably cry. That's what I did when I was stuck in an elevator for 10 minutes when I was 11.

If I know that help is on the way, I'd open the top hatch (if I could find it) to get some fresh air, and then have a nice nap.

I generally take my PSP wherever I go, so I think I'd just play Monster Hunter and GitarooMan Lives until I was found.

.. Though if it was just me, with no bag or whatever, I'd probably go a little bit nutty. I would try to just sleep, or just make up stories in my head to keep me occupied. To get out, I'd try all the emergency buttons, lift stop, then try to call people on my mobile.

That fails, then I'd wait a while and/or try to bust my way out, probably dying in the process.

I have been in situations like this before. I usually just rip my right foot's toe nails off to pass the time.

It is not that your trapped, its just that no one is paying enough attention to notice you. A couple actually died stuck together in an elevator.

How does it take them 41 hours to notice? Especially since there was a camera in the elevator...

I would probably try to sleep, but fail. Hmm... do you think I could get an internet connection in an elevator? If so, and I had my laptop, I would post on here how I am stuck in an elevator. Then I would send an email to someone so that hopefully they could get me out sooner.

That's what he tried to do, but it seemed to backfire on him. He lost his job and after four years (I believe it was four) settled for an undisclosed amount that is apparently very low, as in not worth now being unemployed and spending all those years fighting for it.

I would make a lot of noise. Scream at the top of my lungs, ferociously attack the walls, and stomp on the floor for good measure. Then I'd probably take my iPod out and listen to music until it ran out of charge. Then perhaps some more noise making and a few hours of attempting escape, followed by sleep.
