Been interested in this game but lacked the PC to play it. Now in a few months I will and I look forward to it.
I thought that as well, but then I watched some guy on YouTube saying how he was using an Xbox controller and the only problem he had was occasional rolling problems. I'll post a link below incase you are interested.WouldYouKindly said:Hmm. Can you attach a keyboard to an xbone? You'll be sorely lacking for buttons considering there are like 20 different keys you might need.
Got a One? Or as I just discovered a PS4?Starbird said:Want this game so badly but ugh...without a credit card and with no boxed version it's a pain.
If it worked, and you didn't have to stand while doing it, that would be pretty impressive, but that's a very big IF.BarryMcCociner said:I just had a horrifying thought.
What if instead of changing shit wit the controller, Elite Dangerous went full Kinekt?
If I've implanted a nightmare in your head, I'm so sorry.
I use voice commands on my pc for this game so they could for sure implement a working control system if they combined voice commands with the xbox controller. I prefer using mouse and keyboard for this game but I have tried a controller and there were only a few buttons I didn't bind that work perfectly for voice commands like deploying landing gear and opening your cargo scoop.sageoftruth said:If it worked, and you didn't have to stand while doing it, that would be pretty impressive, but that's a very big IF.BarryMcCociner said:I just had a horrifying thought.

I've been playing it for a month now on PC using a standard plug-in 360 controller (that originally came with my console). There are only 2 commands that I currently use my keyboard for. The first is J for dropping out of Frameshift drive and the second is L for lowering and retracting your landing gear. Apart from that it controls like an absolute dream with this controller and I've heard people on the forums say the same of the xbone controller too. I've been taking down Cobra's controlled by people with flightsticks in my Sidewinder (admittedly heavily upgraded Sidewinder) with this controller.Fieldy409 said:Yeah it'll need some sort of modification to controls. An xbox controller is good to play on the PC and supported but there's probably five or six functions you still need a keyboard on your lap for. Hopefully an improved control system for xbox controllers will also be added to the PC version as an optional conrtrol system.
here is a more accurate representation:Strelok said:I have seen some footage, so far it looks amazing on the XBone. Microsoft thinks they can even squeeze 1080P and 60 FPS out of it, amazing.
