Okay so here it is, wake up this morning to 60 emails in my inbox, when I check them they all say "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)". Apparently my email is sending out one of those virus messages that says "Hi friend, shopping, blah blah blah, virus link here" How do I fix this? someone please help me!!

Maybe your email account was hacked so I would try changing my password first and see if that fixed it, if not then I would either call or email my email provider and say angry things to them and tell them they should fix it. If that doesn't work you can always go to a different email provider.

If all of the above don't suit your taste you could always just go with the flow and send out the virus messages yourself.

Usually that's your computer, not your email account. That's not to say it *can't* be your email account; it's just that usually it's a bit of malware on your PC, often acquired by pointing at unsafe websites, like porn or warez sites (you dirty beast, you).

At any rate, a good sweep with anti-malware software will often fix the problem. Then, change all your passwords, everywhere.

If it IS your email account, just changing the password should fix it. If it doesn't it means they're spoofing your address and there's not a hell of a lot you can do. Contact your email provider, send them samples, and pray.
