once upon a time i played this browser game called travian. it was pretty big here. so i had my usernames such as mohammad.n and things like that. then i went "creative" and made my last account by the user name of furious tiger. that was the silliest user name ever. but now i use kamol (which comes from a time a MMORPG never accepted any of the names so i typed it in random) and Sir/Lord naghi or NaghiMan (my family name has naghi and people call me that)

My old gamer tag from when I was 11 was Diecheese...because I didn't like cheese. Yeah...I don't use that anymore.

I always just use Fishcactus now, since it's rarely taken and I love it.

I always hate gamer tags or usernames that are given to you. Pottermore is the worst, i'm QuillWizard10937487362873 or something.

Well, most of my gamer tags are Hannibal.

Because I'm a history buff I named my tag after the legendary Carthaginian general who fought Rome in the second Punic War. However, because no one knows who that is everyone assumes I'm referring to Hannibal the serial killer. As a result I've gotten some rather awkward stares and comments. I still refuse to change the name though.

When I was a kid I went with angel of bullets for a while. Oh the cringe... even now... Also shadow or shadowhunter depending on what was available, but at least that was no worse than your average gamertag.

Also had the_truth@... as email for a while... Let's just say I was pretty glad when the world collectively decided to switch from windows mail to hotmail. It was the perfect excuse to forget that emailaccount even existed.

Nowadays I try to go by scatman, and if possible equip myself with a way to play the scatman songs over voicechat. The far less serious tone of the name nicely reflects my current attitude towards games. Plus people often start humming or singing the songs just from seeing the name, and playing the actual song at that point never seems to fail to entertain lobbies. More than once I've turned left 4 dead games into impromptu danceparties this way. I'm not sure why, but everyone just seems to love scatman john :) Occasional batman-scatman puns also never seem to get old. Quickly team, to the scatmobile!

My usual user name is BodomBeachChild. I made it in 2001 after becoming quite the CoB fan. Sometimes people like to think I am a woman with that name. But now I feel stuck with it. Even on Ps4 I was like "Yay I can make a new name!" then I saw you can import and I was like "... but do I want to?" And I did because I have had that name since I was 13. Argh.

All the gamertags I've had have been either; Tiberius (followed by some roman numeral), Kassiel, Late Knights, or Phantom Kat. None of those are all that bad.

I fucking hate my psn name, "Ambush" and some numbers. At the time my idea was to make a pun on my last name and ambush was a combat related word so it sounded cool to my 14 year old mind. I used the same name for my Steam account but I can change my visible name for that. I wish Sony would add some kind of system to change it. Hell, I'd pay for it like Microsoft does.

Of course, now I love using extremely stupid names for other accounts. My name on Shadow Gun is n00bpownerxXx666xXx

A friend of mine used BrokeBackLVR because his favorite PS1 games was called Broken Helix & Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. His initials were LVR.

I then told him about the movie Brokeback Mountain... and that LVR can be short for Lover.
Lol. When I first got my ps3 I went to add a friend and my bro told me his name was Sephiroth and some numbers. His name didn't work so he added me instead. I had to break the bad news to him that the reason his name wouldn't work was because he spelled Sephiroth as "Sephoith". I find hilarious how annoyed he was that his extremely lame name was spelled wrong

A guy on Wargame : Airland Battle was named "General McPenis".

Always found it funny for some reason!

I've kept GutsyUnicycle as my XBL gamertag since I got my xbox. It was randomly generated and I liked it, so I chose it.

Nowadays it only pops up when I have to play a game on Steam that uses GWFL.

One of my PSN accounts is named The_Angry_Oyster.

I'm not really embarrassed of mine to any great degree, but I guess they could be seen as embarrassing. Maybe.
