Embarrassing Moments in Gaming

when fighting in the crucible (fable 2) i had a friend over and while killing mass hordes of hobbes i immitated laser beams from starwars while killing them.

my friend recorded me and giggled at me afterwards..

Also in battlefield 1942 when respawning on a ship i made a run for it and tried to jump onto a boat that was dropping suddenly realising that "oh shit im going to miss the boat" and had to swim all the way to shore... that was embarrasing

I was really, really sleepy (honestly, just sleepy) and I deleted one of my Guild Wars PVE characters in my grogginess. You have to press "delete character", type in the character's name perfectly, then confirm delete character again to remove a character. Apparently I was awake enough to do that but not awake enough to realize it was a fucking stupid idea. Next morning when I logged on and realized what had happened all I could do was laugh at myself for being such a moron. To this day I have no idea what bizarre thought process made me do it as I still had character slots open and I didn't even make a new character.

i spent several frustrating hours trying to get the secondary objective Destroy 100 Enemy Planes in the Heroes of the Pacific level Defend Midway, on the hardest difficulty. it was the last objective i needed to get the final unlock point so i could finish unlocking all the additional planes, but only after getting into the high 90s many times before the mission would end did i remember that i didn't have to be on the hardest setting to get the unlock points...

shredding through over 100 planes on my first try on the normal setting thus getting the point wasn't quite enough to make up for the embarrassment...

Just last night while playing against my mate on the StarCraft 2 beta he was playing Zerg and I was Protoss.

We were playing on a map that had a floating island at the top of it cut off from the rest of the map, after I'd taken most of the map by fighting off his original bases with Colossi but of course they can't walk over giant gaps, so I had to improvise.

So I called in a Mothership, took it over to his base just long enough to teleport my colossi over with some carriers.
I of course couldn't resist messaging over to my mate: 'Hail the mothership!' whileI teleported my units over, thinking it was all over.

Turned out he'd spent all his remaining resources walling himself in with anti air, which completely obliterated my colossi and carriers.

All I could say after that was: 'Well... Don't I look stupid...'

One time when I was playing halo, a teammate was ahead of me and was about to get in a warthhog. I was in a mongoose and intending to jump in the back. I got out... Just as he was driving forward... One of the funniest things that has ever happened to me on halo.

Back in my WoW days I remember falling asleep during a raid. That's what I get for playing with late night raiders in a time zone 4 hours behind.

Its times like now i remember how entertaining that used to be...
Anyhow, Mine would be Fallout 3, in which on my way to Tenpenny Tower i was transfixed by the cityscape - I walked off a cliff and died.

I hate it when you know everyone is watching you demolish the t so like CoD when your the last player. You can either make an epic moment in gaming where you demolish the opponent, plant the bomb and make a cup of tea, or what normally happens is you run into a wall, trip over your own feet and then throw a grenade which bounces back killing you.

Well, being the guy I am, I was bragging to a couple of friends how I was so awesome at Brawl. First mistake. A few weeks later we were all doing an all nighter, and decided to play some Brawl. I was one of the only ones completly out of it, and therefore refused to pick anything buy Jigglypuff, and got myself smashed. To this day, I'm still called the "Jigglypuff Knight", even though I never used it since .

I see a hous where a enemy was hiding. Cook my stick grenade and throw it! 3 comrades suddenly follow my grenade blindly into the room, 1 explosion later, 3 of my mates are dead. The enemy is wounded but still alive, gets out and shoots me as I was preparing my weapons for him...
