He's pathetic, I cringe whenever I hear people going on about how he's the greatest rapper ever, all he does is write novelty tracks, tracks about how he hates his mum (like we care) and stupid "shock" lyrics (which are nowhere near as shocking as the lyrics to some tracks by the likes of Immortal Technique which acctualy have depth to them). And it's all delivered in that horrible nasal voice, bleh.

Every time someone mentions him in a positive way I want to beat them to death with Nation Of Millions...

Being a metal fan i never really listen to rap, but there are the odd times i listen to certain rappers, people with a message with actual intellectual lyrics etc, I do think all this "Bitches and Bling" is possibly some of the worst music ever recorded.

I have listened to some of Eminems work, like The Marshall Mathers LP and other early records, but that was when he had something to be properly angry about, had something to say, now he either repeats that stuff or as we always see goes back to the stupid "funny" songs, tbh they are never funny and get on my nerves more.

I loved SSLP and MMLP, thought Eminem Show was decent at best and hated Encore. Relapse does not continue this downhill run he was on, he went and got himself a drug problem and this gave him reason to be angry and messed up and now he once again write good songs. Just listen to the album without thinking you're going to hate it and it might suprise you.

Also, yea he is very much a legitimate artist.

But you're right, Tech is brutal, "My flow is sicker than regurgitated peroid juices" and "I'll give a pregnant ***** a c-section with a chainsaw and then paint my name in blood on the floor", then there's his line in a freestyle about how he's going to fuck a pregnant ***** and crush her fetuses skull with his dick. Some of his stuff makes me cringe no matter how many times I listen to it.

But yea, you should give Em a chance man, he's alright, check out his first album "Slim Shady LP", I used to hate him but when I heard that album I really got into him.

Rap music (if it can be defined as music, being often about stupid topics with no depth in them.) is the one kind of music that i will instantly tune out once it is aired, well that and Pink.
As i've seen, the only kind of people who actually buy into it are the same ones that are the cliched online trolls

(sorry, this is like the first post ive done while pretty much asleep on my keyboard, so mind the bad structure)
Cliched internet trolls are the only people into hip-hop? Right... Well speaking from a personal experience, the majority of people I know are into rap, and no I'm not a hardcore gangster man, check the Motorhead icon.

Have a listen to that, it's nothing like you've heard before.
