With me it depends on how good I am at a game. If I am really pissed and I play a game I'm great at I can channel that, butcher a bunch of noobs, and feel better. If I play a game I'm mediocre at, I get distracted, make mistakes, get killed, and become even more pissed.

Definitely makes a difference for me if I'm angry, cause I'm not really enjoying the game if I'm pissed, and then I start to make stupid impatient mistakes. So yeah, mood does make a difference on my skill level.

Although some games I'm just not that good at no matter what mood I'm in.

Oddly enough, some games I'm great at when I'm not even playing attention. Like if I'm talking on the phone while playing, I don't really care as much about the game, and I seem to do really well when I don't care.

Mainly seems to apply to games with me though. I tried that attitude on an test at school, went in after neglecting to study thinking "I don't give a shit! I just don't give a shit!" Yeah... I gave a shit when I got it back with a big "YOU FAIL" on it...

I don't really get upset or irritated all that often. When I do however, it tends to improve my gaming ability. My being irritated doesn't really distract me from games it more makes it like I don't care how it works out and I don't feel like messing around. I don't know if my brain works faster or what but I just get twice as detatched and twice as skilled.

I only get irritated once in a blue moon however. Now, my brother on the other hand ...

Frustration is the only thing that affects my gaming. So when I get stuck on a part of a game, I can only try it a few times before I have to give up and do something else before I try again much later, otherwise I'll just be trying forever and progressively doing worse.

It is something to take into account. I won't play ranked online matches when I'm in a bad mood, more than likely, I will go into single player and focus on completing that part of the game. That way, I can play a game whatever my mood and not get more fustrated with it.

I find when I'm Sick, Tired or Pissed Off, I generally do best at any game I play. When I'm just Happy or Neutral, I do fine, but if I'm Sad or Indifferent, I tend to fail immensely

Unfortunatly, for most situations I have a huge amount of patience, a high immune system, and I don't need much sleep, so I don't get my Power Boosts, if you will.

Example: One day, I came back from work fuming mad. I hopped on Halo 3 online to calm down, and I ended up Sniping to the point where I got two Exterminations (I normally fail epicly with Snipers.) That very same day, my little cousin joined a party, so I started to not care, and I found myself in last place for two matches.

When I'm in a good mood, I do consistantly well, but when I'm angry, I tend to go on rampages, then go crap, then another rampage etc...

Emperor Palpatine was wrong.
Anger does NOT give you focus or make you stronger.

I find that I do crappier and crappier when I repeat a hard level over and over. I just make bad and risky decisions because I'm bored with repeating the same moves.

I have found it that the more pissed off I get the more aggressive I become in my play style and usually just wreak face after something pisses me off enough.

Oh yeah, I suck when I'm annoyed. I can be doing a hard boss, I tend to flip out and go "GAWD DAMMIT WHAT DA HELL!?" and just start sucking badly. I make stupid mistakes, I forget the strategy, but yeah, I just begin to suck.
Example: Ouendan 2. Bambina on Hard. It was really hard for me, and I just flip out. I decide to go to my room, and get some sleep. I wake up, go back down and pick the DS up. I complete the level.

Usually, I will have more skill when I am relaxed and not really trying to win, just trying to have fun. Then again that wouldn't make is skill would it? hmm Well I play better yes.... That will work quite well I play better when I am relaxed.
