Ive had so many great victories i cannot even remember the greatest ones kinds of annoying really but i can say in the barbarian invasion add on i won as the Sassinds in a stupidly short amount of time. I aways do better as the middle eastern armies even way back on Medieval one (Turks for the win)so i am gonna be the ottomans in the new one.

never could do well at Shogun however

PS make sure its the right RAM

I've been hyped to the point of insanity over this game. I probably would have made a thread here myself but I've been spending my time at the Total War forums instead.

I don't have any stories of my own I can think of to share but if you haven't seen it yet a guy at CA wrote up a campaign report which is amazingly written and is very entertaining to read. I'm not crazy either, just look at all the responses to it.

3 hours to go;

had a go with the demo's land battle (Brits vs Yanks) and I have to admit, at first I was alittle overwhelmed, but once I rushed my men past the US killing zones, I was able to pump round after round of volleys into there close packed troopers. They attacked me with cavalry, and I quickly got them into squares to counter. Artellitry was peppering down on my troops, but the cavalry was too close to charge the gunners.

Overall, I can't wait for the full game, especially as I'll have a better understanding of the troop types and their roles in battle.

Indeed, but first I must convince my technophobic parents (who own the computer) to let me go rummaging around in my pc's innards (although I think I have almost convinced them)

I just have to say that taking Paris away from France as the United Provinces was pretty damn fun. I went ahead and wiped France from the map completely, and interestingly enough Quebec became a new nation from what was once the French colonies. I thought that was pretty neat.
