Yeah, I did it again. This list is actually huge. Regardless, a few people didn't make it. I'll update the OP soon with the new names. To those that didn't get in, as always, sorry. Litterally a massive ammount of people signed up, more than usual, so we had to drop a few people.

My god, man!
I was going for 12 people. I got 17. I just couldn't NOT pick some of these people.
Wooho, cheers for allowing me in!

Also, having a lot of players should protect us if we get a number of drop-outs within a month or so.

Thank you so much for accepting me. I promise you won't regret letting the slang spoken, sass attitude Aussie chick in. Aye mates, bust a gut or buzz off.

Fantastic news, when do we begin?
As soon as Samuel makes the opening post, so... soon, I think.

Was it random, or did you just pick the ones you liked the most?
Like came into it a little, but mostly it was past experiences of players and balancing out the genders of the characters.

Chapter one; All Is Quiet On the Western Front.

"Commander Quinn?"

Robin looked up from his papers. A kid tipped his hat to him. Robin clicked his pen once.

"Yeah?" He said. The youngster reddened a bit, then quickly handed him a piece of paper. After a crisp salute, he marched his way out of the shady room, the steel door falling heavy behind him.

Hughes, Emerson he read at the top of the yellowed paper. Transferral: Dover. Effective immediately.

Robin chuckled and stuffed the document beneath the countless others he had taken with him. He stood from the fragile chair and opened the same door as the boy before him had gone through.

He entered a long corridor, almost hewn out of gray stone it looked, with doors at either side at regular intervals. The closest to his left was the only one with an open door. He entered the room.

A man was throwing his, what looked like, last things in a velt bag. Robin coughed, and the man looked behind him. He nodded with a slight smile.

"Arright Hughes?" Robin said. Emerson closed the bag with a short tug on the cord and threw it over his shoulder. He gave Robin a look of been better. Robin patted on the stack of papers he held under his arm.

"Looks like you've been assigned to Dover." He said. He lifted a corner of his mouth. "Told you I was higher rank than you now? AC, if you'd believe it."

They both exited the secluded bunker-turned-hospital and into the fire-scented outdoors.

"Dover's a bit of a walk though."

"Just a bit, couple of miles if I remember right. Don't suppose by 'Dover' we're talking about that old train station are we?"

Robin nodded, giving him his trademark Irish smirk.

"Heard stories about that place. No idea why they'd want me there, maybe I'm getting demoted or something. Christ, they better not make me a spotter again...", Emerson mumbled to himself, his words trailing off.

After a brisk walk through the mucky countryside, the two finally entered Dover. Ever since the war had begun, Dover had been left alone and it's citizens were left to fend for themselves. The place was a dump, but oddly peaceful. All the people who had lived there before had either left or joined the army, turning the once busy shopping area into a ghost town.

"Place looks like crap.", Emerson chuckled, as the two approached the station, "Can't believe I'm getting transferred to here of all places. They must really want me outta' the picture."

"Hughes! Quinn!", a voice shouted from the train station, "They're here! Get the newbies out for show and tell! The AC and the cripple are here!"

"Cripple. Nice."

The two men entered the station and were met with fifteen or so new recruits dressed head to toe in brown, as per regulation. A couple of veteran ECA members nodded to the two as they came in, before one of them spoke.

"Orders from Manchester. Soldier Hughes, Emerson. You and soldier Quinn, Robin are to be stationed in Dover from here on out. These are your troops. Soldiers Robinson, Tom and Evans, Jamie out. Good luck AC, good luck Captain."

Staring open-mouthed at the new recruits as the other soldiers left, but not before slamming a notepad into Robin's chest, the duo turned to each other.

"I thought I was meant to be getting rest, not a new damn squad-- and, did he just call me Captain? He did, didn't he? Christ al-fucking-mighty."

Robin gave a one-fingered salute to the soldiers leaving over his shoulder, before looking at the notepad. His once-neatly stacked documents were now spread across the entrance of the station.

"Yeah, he did." Robin said distracted.

"Alright, so you're Heifen, Jarrah, Vallon, Riegler, Kenneth, Wright, Collins, Von...bren..Berncastle? Church, Johannson, Kimmel, Garett, Amsel, Kelly and..."

He checked the pad again.

"You." He said to who was scribed Ayanbadejo. "That about right?" he recieved a universal nod.

"Right. So welcome to glorious Dover Company. I'm Area Commander Quinn, and this here is Captain Emerson now, I believe."

He looked down.

"So. Captain, you show them the ropes of the station here?"

Sorry about this, just thought I'd check, the rest of us are supposed to be part of this new squad right?

EDIT: Sorry, posted a little before that new post came to light. Problem solved. Will be posting shortly.

Emerson sighed, his arms crossed and his face emotionless. New recruits were the last thing he needed right now, especially fifteen of them. Then there was the ever prominent question as to what to do with them.

"I don't know the ropes myself, Robin."

Uncrossing his arms in confusion, Emerson grabbed Robin by the shoulder and turned him away from the soldiers.

"What in the hell is going on here, Robin? I wasn't told about this, were you?"

Talk amongst yourselves while Emerson and Robin decide what to do with you. Remember, this is the first time any of you have met. Whether you have a history with the ECA or not is up to you.

Nadia Jarrah remained silent, standing ramrod stiff and looking straight ahead. Stay quiet and obey orders was what what she had learned in her brief time with the Israeli army. That, and the many different ways to torture a man into spilling his guts.

She broke her stillness to adjust the brown beret on her head. Her hair was cut short to her jaw, as not to get in the way. She put her hand back at her side and looked over the recruits she was with. She decided it would be best to at least pretend to be social, and leaned to her right a bit to the Australian girl next to her.

"Hello," she greeted the woman. "I'm Nadia. Nadia Jarrah. What's your name?"

Getting to know her squad would be important. The one thing that had gotten her in trouble was not getting along with her comrades.

The girl she's talking to is Jaime.

Gar was still standing with a straight spine and his arms by his sides. He'd been through a few round-ups before and if you showed any kind of slack, you were gonna get shouted at.... that that never boded good for reputation amongst your squad members.

Earlier Gar had been enjoying the view over the beautiful countryside ranging from Langdon all the way over to Swingfield. The grassy wasteland that stretched all around them was no match however to the vast ocean to the south-east. It stretched all the way over to Belgium and if you peered enough you could make out the coastline through the mist that had risen due to smoky atmosphere.
Although the air was filled with smoke most of the time, there was a hint of salt that seeped through and made breathing worth while in this rotten hell hole of a town.
Nevertheless, he had his orders and a duty to his country to stay there.

Memories of his past in Iceland kept him awake through most nights. The beautiful grassy landscape, the vast ocean and the numerous little islands spread everywhere. The air was so clean you could just fill your lungs until you suffocated. But if he wanted his family and the rest of his people back there to live peacefully, he needed to defend the last line. The last form of defense was right here, and it almost made him cry of joy to be part of it, to be able to fight for the freedom and well-being of his brothers and uncles back home.
It was what kept him alive.
