England Falters: Wartime Resistance RP

"Arright. Arright. Easy lads." Robin said with half a grin. "Didn't know you were so willing to throw your lives away."

He pointed at Thomas, Katrina, Michael and Nadia.

"You lot, you're the welcoming commitee. Plus you two, of course." he added, motioning at Johann and Luke. "Meet me in five at the front entrance."

"Rest of you lower shutters and hang back with Captain Emerson here. It's prolly nothing, but we're ordered to be sure. So..."

He shrugged.

Mick was dissapointed at not being picked; he'd been looking forward to a skirmish.
Nevertheless, he did as ordered and nodded at Robin as he went back and leaned on a wall near Emerson.

Gar jogged toward the ammo cache and started fitting magazines in a plastic bin that lay by his side.
He'd gotten a few clips and had arranged the training MP5's on a table next to him.
"Alright sir. Guns ready!"

He grabbed his glock and started loading up his clip with some lay-about ammo in the cache.

Johann took a moment to decide between the two guns he had trained with, he finally settled for the glock considering it had a more familar feel to it. As he loaded it he thought just for a second that he heard a high-pitched but tuneful voice over the wind as if in song, but a quick look around revealed that aside from his comrades there was no-one else nearby.

Must be my imagination he thought as he prepared himself for whatever it was he would find outside.

Luke nodded in acknowledge and immediately headed to grab four clips of MP5 and waited the front entrance for further instructions.

"Guess it is do or die, right?"

Nadia took a new MP5 and the accompanying clips. She shoved the clips into her waistband, then clacked down the bolt on the MP5 and loaded the Glock with a new clip as well.

She was excited to see a possibility of combat, and also wanted to see how her comrades would do. She also wondered how Katrina would do with her first battle, if it was one.

"Do or die," Nadia agreed, standing next to Luke.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katrina shivered visibly when Robin pointed at her, immediately freezing on the spot and panicking. Me? Oh, no... No, you can't be serious. I - I'm not good enough, I'm nowhere near ready for that kind of thing! She didn't speak these thoughts aloud, however, as they would only get her into trouble with Robin and Emerson.

"Um... ques-question, sir," she stammered, her nervousness increasing exponentially as she spoke. "What, um... what weapon will I be using?"

Chris was a bit pleased that he was not chosen to be immediately flung out into combat. Perhaps it was his performance on the firing range that had scared off the commanders. Whatever. If they want to keep me out of combat, that is fine. Means I will survive longer I guess. Let the gung ho fighters throw themselves in harms way first.

This little sequence was to but Katrina out of the running for a while, 'cause you mentioned you being gone for about a month. Is that still on or should I just string her along?

"You'll be carrying the same you've been shooting with today." Robin said in response to Katrina's question. "Hopefully we won't be using any at all."

He flashed her a half-grin.

"If all goes well, I hope."

Ana looked over at Robin. "What shall you have me do sir?" she said standing stock still waiting for an order. The gun fire didn't really get to her, hell she was use to it and knew it was something that happend in war.

Johann shuffled his feet as a chill wind blew past him; in one hand he hugged the glock to his side, with the other he reached into his pocket to feel the cheap plastic bracelet that was worth so much to him. He didn't like waiting anymore, he just wanted to get on to find out what was on going on on the other side before he started thinking too much about it.

"Like I said," Robin said while clapping in a clip from his belt into his rifle. "Close up shop with the inside crew and await further orders. I'm not whispering am I?"

He turned to see his selected squad stand at the ready.

"Right. You'll hold fire until shot at, until told otherwise. Understood?"

He was met with a universal nod.

"Well..Okay then. Come along then." He said and turned. He started the march towards where the fire, now continuous, came from.

Rufus sat down on the edge of the weapon table with his guns, still unfired because of helping Katrina out.
"So, What do we do now, sir?" he asked, before absentmindedly pulling out a tooth pick from his pocket and proceeding to pick out any remaining bits of "breakfast".

Nadia followed Robin, her weapon at her side. She was hoping that the bullets were, as the leader had said, just some people messing around with a pistol, but she knew it probably wasn't the case. She was at least comforted that she was in the company of some semi-trained people. I mean, if the girl can get it right in a few tries, she should do well.

Ana nodded holding her "new gun" in her hand. It didn't feel right to her not using her own guns but there was nothing she could do about it. She just had to live with what she had and hope she lived long enough to see her guns again.

"Yes sir." She said waiting for an order adjusting her gun some to make it work better for her.

 

[Sparrow]

"Alright.", Emerson said, finally speaking up, "Everyone not going with the AC, lock up. Get your shit together and hold the fort. I highly doubt we're about to be invaded, but better safe than sorry. Or better yet, better armed than unarmed am' right?"

The Captain waited for laughter. It did not come.

"Oh, well-- you ungrateful little foreign sods coming over here and bloody... ungrateful...", he grumbled to himself, walking off into the direction of the first platform train.

Meanwhile, outside the "train-fort"...

"Try and throw me out the country, will yeh? I'm a goddamn Brit! Came over here five years ago, you bastards. I am a citizen-- ugh.", grumbled and shouted one of the drunken men outside the station.

"Killing our countrymen, you assholes? My little cousin is in the American army, you gonna' shoot him? You going to shoot him down like a dog?", slurred another.

Two of the four men were armed with pistols, whilst one of the others held what looked like a un-lit molotov cocktail in his hands. They had all quite obviously been heavily drinking, and all were off American descent. Possibly related, as one of the men was much older than the other three who looked of a similar, young age.

"And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave!", the elder of the group sang, before firing a few more shots from his pistol into the air, "O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"

"Hmph." Robin said. "Bleedin' Americans. Should shoot 'em right here."

"Nadia. You an' Thomas talk to them. We'll have guns trailed on them the entire time, so we've got your back."

Both Redlin5 and CurlyCrouton's characters die here, Thomas and Michael respectively, 'cause they stepped out of the RP.

Astrid glanced at the drunken crowd as they began shouting slurs and chants, the pistol fire made her unsling her rifle but she was unsure what to do with it, they had never covered peacekeeping in stanadered training, she looked side to side for someone of rank to guide her, she tried shouting after Emerson but was uncertain if he had heard her or not, she glanced at her comrades looking to see how they would act.

Nadia stepped forwards. "We don't want to harm you, so I suggest you clear out. I realize that some of you may have relatives in America, but we have no choice to fight them."

Oh, god, I can't give pep speeches for my life...

Johann held his gun at the ready; rowdy and drunk people always made him feel uncomfortable. Especially when they were armed, presumably illegally. He didn't want to shoot anyone but had an unfortunate feeling that within the next few minutes there would be bloodshed, however good Thomas and Nadia's negotiation skills were.
