Hi outthere,

As it happens university caught me and made me do it's dirty scientific research. I would be very glad if some of you would participate in this study (for obvious reasons). It will ask you for your opinion on several language phenomena as seen in the interwebs.

A suggestion for further testing:

You may want to not make the 'do you know what this means' questions multiple choice, or at least not multiple choice in that way. It's fairly easy to deduce the correct answer, and that could taint the results. A better approach may simply be to ask, "Do you know what [acronym] means?" and leave it as yes or no.

thanks for the tip! we thought, if we did it the multiple choice way we could see if the people REALLY know, but you are definitely right. it is fairly easy to just guess, maybe we will use it in our next studies.
