firstly this one, only OST i know of that comes in two parts, and is quite fitting when the scenes involve trying to stem the tides of zerg rushing liquid metal aliens

also the entire gundam unicorn soundtrack, here's one example, when the unicorn gundam launches to fight the sinanju

another example, when the unicorn first launches, it just caputres the feel of the entire series as a whole

This! Oh god this! I love this one, especially the end. It sounds so damn triumphant and epic! I find myself humming it over and over again.

Robert Zemekis once said that the score of a film has to be a character as well and this score does it so well. it only intensifys the scenes. Making them more grandiose then they really are.

Practically every piece of music from the Star Wars Trilogy is wonderful, but the Force Theme is just timeless. The variant on it at the end of Return of the Jedi, Light of the Force [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL4J9wQx6N8], is just amazing; instead of the contemplative nature of Binary Sunset, this is about victory over darkness. And it is beautiful.

Actually, the entire soundtrack is a work of art, from all three movies.
So true. Deciding on a favourite is incredibly difficult, but I think I have to go with The Lighting of the Beacons [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEOxkXB99NM]. "Hope is kindled". Never fails to have me in tears.

Considering your avatar, surely you will understand my choice.

I have listened to it a few times too much, so it doesn't have the same impact now; but the first time I heard it after watching Clannad, I nearly cried.

Edit: And that's a pretty huge accomplishment for a song; considering that I almost can't remember the last time I actually cried. (If we don't count crying from physical pain)
Clannad made me shed a single tear, and this song almost accomplished the same thing.

An amazing song from an awesome underrated animated movie:

Breathtaking, to be honest.

And while I'm not usually a fan of anime, I love these:

(Just using someone playing the piano to take out the vocals.)

And from a video game, just 'cos:
