Bayonetta's last boss was pretty epic, I mean it was fricken huge, towering over you and changing the conditions of the arena as the battle went on, my favorite final boss by far

I disagree. I would hate if the devs arbitrarily decided that my stocks of medigel wouldn't work anymore just because it was the last mission. If you want it to be harder, ask them to throw more Scions at you.UnkeptBiscuit said:
Okami was one of the best. It was entirely too easy once you figured out the tricks, but you know it's awesome when you forcefully beat your stolen powers out of the boss. And then the "gotcha" cutscene comes up, you go "oh crap," and then the prayer cutscene happens. You knew you were ready to kick ass when Amateratsu got to her full power form again. Too bad it didn't actually make you any stronger.
I dont know about final bosses, but the fight I had with Posiedon and Cronos were the very definition of Epic. Likewise, they were also the very definition of:"Kicks Darksiders and Dantes Inferno's ass in spades."
How has nobody mentioned the Elite Four from the original Pokemon? Back before we all knew how to create a super-death team. Back before we knew every move and skill our opponents knew. Back when Pokemon was new, and you had your beloved party ready to take you to the top....well, welcome to hell, kid! You thought a gym battle was rough?! Try five in a row!
First up was Lorelei, who combined Ice and Water type pokemon with some psychics as well...I'd never even seen an Ice-type pokemon before Lorelei, let alone 5! Next up comes Bruno, also known as Brock on steroids! Two Onix and three nasty fighting types to get past here. Next up is Agatha, with the seemingly-invulnerable Ghost-type pokemon. Her Gengar and Haunters are mean little buggers, plus the rest of her team confuses and poisons with ease. The leader of the Elite Four, Lance, strikes out with the un-encountered dragon pokemon! Hyper Beam can rip your team a new one, and all of his five dragons are rough. Finally, your rival steps up, apparently sick of getting beaten (and still upset that I named him Ballz in the beginning). His party of six pokemon are a rough match-up, especially with yours beaten and bloodied from the past four fights...in a row!
All of this is just so you can earn the right to fight the strongest pokemon ever made (No, Arceus did not exist at this time).

Ganon in Wind Waker, that was single handedly the coolest location for a fight ever..
Also Majora's Mask in well Majora's Mask, that hall was really eerie and the entire fight was awesome.
Jack of Blades in Fable 1, despite the horrible ness of the game at least the fight was decent..
Also, the Dead Rising Tank General fight sweet jesus that was awesome.
