True, the problem is movies/videogames usually fail to meet the quality that the trailer seems to promise.

The music for the Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers trailer was pretty good. I remember playing it again and again just to listen to the music in it. I also have it on my MP3 player. I think the song was called Lux Aeterna but I may be wrong about it.

Yeah, Lux Aeterna is right, I think, by Clint Mansell, adapted from his music from the film Requiem for a Dream, which has a highly recognisable soundtrack.

It's been used here as the trailer for a WoW based machinima, but apparently it was also used for a trailer in the most recent Star Trek movie; the trailer only, sadly, I watched the whole film hoping to hear it but it wasn't there It's called Freedom Fighters by Two Steps from Hell, who apparently specialise in providing music for trailers.

Also, another sci-fi film that I love, especially for the music, and guess what! It uses the aforementioned Lux Aeterna as well.

Again, that piece doesn't actually appear in the film, but it really does have one of my favourite soundtracks of all time, created partially by my favourite music group of all time: Underworld.
