Still wish certain characters would get some of that.... *COUGH*DiamondTiara*COUGH*
I'm not too sure about that character. There was this section in the Book of Harmony with Q & A with Lauren Faust-
"I think there's a double-edged sword to reforming villains. It's good to see them come around, because it shows us that people can change and that if you find yourself making a mistake, you yourself can change and can be forgiven. However, I do also feel it's actually important to some villains remain villainous. Unfortunately, in this world, we run into people who will continue to hurt us no matter much much kindness we show them. It's realistic to show that this can happen and that it best to cut abusive people out of our lives- like Rainbow Dash did to Gilda.

Ok that properly referring to villains like Tirek and Cipher Bill but it won't suprised me if Diamond Tiara remain as a bully like the olde sterotypical bullies characters in the 80's and 90's.

Still that book was published before season 4 came out and who knows, the writers can still proved me wrong in the recent episodes these days. Also this rumours could be true about Taira involvement in season 5.

Lastly yes, Steven Universe has been good lately despite it was lackluster when it first started.

EDIT- Three months is not so bad, I kind of find suprising that they release rest of Steven Universe (well except for the last two) episode everyday last week!!

The Episode "Duet" in the first season on Deep Space 9 just makes me speechless. DS9's first season was by far its weakest, but this one show near the end of the season is unbelievable. It's such a simple plot that packs an enormous emotional punch, and the performances of the two lead actors of the episode are spellbinding. There are at least two scenes that always make me cry a little. This is the kind of story that any actor or director would feel lucky to be given the chance to be a part of.

"Crackers Don't Matter" from Farscape is amazing. Again, it's from an overall great show, but it came at a time before it had hit its stride. Season one had a few clunkers and season two really upped the game with this episode. It is just the perfect example of simultaneous humor and suspense. It's so bizarre and hilarious seeing everyone go just up-the-wall insane. The atmosphere and dialogue of the show is fantastic, and it just really left an impression.
I was literally dying while watching Crackers, insanely hilarious. Crazy John gets me every time. The body swap episode of Farscape was brilliant as well

Breaking Bad's Ozymandias has already been mentioned and while there were many episodes of this show that were amazing, this one was probably the best. Everything falls apart in the most horribly fantastic way. Hank's line where he says "you're the smartest guy I ever knew, and you're too stupid to see, he made his mind up 10 minutes ago" absolutely crushed me.

Hannibal's Mizumono was also up there with Ozymandias for me. The first two thirds of the episode were incredible for building the tension in a way that you know that bad shit is going to happen, but you don't know who's going to be coming out alive. The sound track helps create this sense of dread even more by having the sound of a stop watch clicking in the background of every scene. The last third of the episode plays out like a beautiful, poetic, slasher flick. There were some truly heart-wrenching things done and I loved every second of it.

The D&D episode from Community.

There have a good number of D&D/Fantasy inspired episodes in many shows, but they always cut to the characters' imagination. In Community you never leave that table for the sake of something more visually stimulating -- It's just a bunch a people sitting at a table playing pretend. And it's fucking epic!

Better Call Saul S1E6: Five-O.

Gosh, that episode was really quite something. It focuses almost exclusively on Mike Ehrmantraut and tells a very gripping little story with an amazing payoff. As far as I'm concerned, Jonathan Banks deserves an Emmy for his performance here.

An episode of Misfits comes to mind. I can't remember whether it was season three or four (I think it's four), but it's the one where
Curtis kills himself, because he knows he can't cure his zombie-ism.
Y'know... I wanted to talk more about it but I honestly don't remember a lot about it - it's been a while since I watched it. But I do vividly remember audibly saying 'woah', and even going out of my way to find a 'making of' that episode, something I've never done before or since.

The only other thing I can think of (not already mentioned) is the first episode of the anime Stein's;Gate. The main character fascinated me, the story hooked me,and the dialogue managed to be clever and witty without devolving into a series of cheesy one liners (see: Castle). I've never been so enamored so quick by series in my life. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even watch anime.

Any episode of Samurai Jack I've stumbled upon, and it's always been unintentionally. I'd walk into a friend's house, it'd be on the TV, and I'd sit down and watch, thinking, wow, that was really good. I should watch all these.

I never would. And I still think I should.

On a similar note, almost every episode of BBC's Sherlock has amazed me in some way, though the premiere and the Season 2 finale take the cake, in terms of leaving me with a sensation of amazement.

Yeah, it's a really good show. I haven't seen the entire show yet, as I just haven't bought all the DVD's, but I own I think 3 or 4 seasons of it. That episode though, just always blows my mind. It's so powerful xD I'd suggest watching that episode all by itself honestly. It's a standalone story, you don't have to know anything about the other episodes other than "Aku is the big evil guy, and he destroyed Jack's kingdom." But hey, they tell you that in the opening credit crawl basically. xD
