Sequel???! Sweet :D I honestly had no clue this had even been in the works, looks like they are getting as much advertising on this one that they did on the original. First one was a great popcorn movie.

Bah, I hates me a sequel of nearly any stripe.

While the first movie was executed fairly well all things considered, I'm not sure I can worship it the way it has been, let alone go see it in the theaters. I like the movie most as a comedy and less as an action movie, and a rather HATE fan service, especially as a fan. It feels a lot like watching a slow train wreck in which everyone is killed slowly by the conductor. Constant referrals to the first movie as well as cameos of people we recognize from the first always bothers me.

I'm afraid, Movie Bob, I cannot trust you as you are a fan.

MovieBob: I love your reviews... you always do your homework, and you don't talk down to your audience.

But please, for the love of god, please invest in some decent audio equipment and perhaps a sound studio... it drives me nuts listening to someone as smart as you sounding as if you're recording the voice over whilst sitting on the commode...

I just got back from the movie, it was pretty damn good. I'm a big fan of the first one, I'm not a cultist for this film (I may or may not be one for Rocky Horror) but it was a satisfying sequel, and not an obvious cash in.

Also there had better be a damn third movie, that's all I'll say about it.

Absolutely not got a clue what either of these films are.
Oh jeez, you've got to get your ass to a movie rental location pronto and pick up a copy of The Boondock Saints. It's got quite the cult following (of which I am part of) because it is a different little film with great humour and over-the-top action. Heck, even if you hate the Irish or Catholics in general you will probably still enjoy this movie.

Sean Patrick Flannery will always be Young Indiana Jones to me. But good to know that Boondock Saints is actually worth watching. Hear enough fanboys lose their minds over it, and you begin to wonder.
You too, Susan. The first is a can't miss movie in my opinion and even if it's not your cup of tea you will still probably find something to love about the movie.

I'm glad to hear this isn't a tenuously tied cash in on popularity. Though I still think the first one's ending was satisfying enough to where it doesn't "need" a sequel.

More than happy that they made this sequel, i loved the first one, except for everyone quoting it over and over.
The question that needs to be asked, does the female FBI agent dress up as a male and sleep with women? =D

It's hardly in any theaters : <

These reviews remind me of Zero Punctuation, but with red and less humor. Informative, though.

I saw the fist one right around the time that I outgrew the NRA fantasy of Punisher comic books, so I was repelled rather than impressed.

Don't look away from the guy getting his head pulped execution style, it's good for you. So what if you're an FBI agent? Just throw in with a bunch of guys who shoot people to death in the streets because they've declared themselves judge, jury, and executioner.

Seriously?

Sounds like what I expected. Fan service all the way, so nothing to justify it's revival to me.
You sound like the kind of person who would speak out against Batman.

I don't get the 'Boston wacky' thing and I'm from Boston... or is it a personal thing?

Loved the first one, but over here in the UK this sequel got a pathetic theatre release, so I unfortunately have to wait for the DVD release.

I have to say I disagree very strongly on this one, so much so that I don't even really know where Bob is coming from. I kept expecting him to say, "just kidding," and tear into it. I loved the first Boondock Saints. It was everything Bob had to say about this one. But All Saints Day is utter pandering garbage. It often feels like whole lines of dialogue are lifted straight from the first one. Whole scenes certainly are. The plot is so predictable as to be painful, and is made without any respect for the originality that made the first film great. And then out of nowhere we start adding thoughtless, zany, unconnected Mexican jokes from Rob Schneider. This is the final insult to the saints. Like a worm crawling over a flower.
