It's something that I see pop up in movies and TV shows from the 80's and 90's all the time, but I've never seen it happen in real life (and I live in Ottawa, which is constantly expanding and running new roads). The worst I can think of is a couple lots being removed, not an entire neighbourhood.
It's Independence Day over here, so that was the reason he showed the flag at the end of the video.geier said:Do big movie studios threaten Bob with assassination? I ask because, first he defended Michael Bay and now he shows us the US american flag in close up. Just like Michael bay.
Add videos games to his list and that is exactly Bob.josemlopes said:The rant Moviebob gives about Kevin Smith basicly applies in its entirety to Moviebob himself.
Lol i thought that myself, kettle pot black. Would seem Bob is the thing he hates.josemlopes said:The rant Moviebob gives about Kevin Smith basicly applies in its entirety to Moviebob himself.
But do yourself a favor and watch red state, that film just shits on all your expectations and keeps you guessing whats going to happen next and you still don't have a fricken clue.rbstewart7263 said:I dont get it why does bob hate that guy so much? Bob why do you hate kevin smith so much?
I literally just googled that and I got his blog and im reading and watching and Im like........Oh god I see it now. also I was right to hate jay and silent bob my god that was bad!!!!
Me, I've seen the opposite happen: whole neighborhoods and shopping centers springing up near highways. Any one who builds a freeway through an existing suburb, requiring it to be knocked down, just sucks at their job.Thunderous Cacophony said:Man, the Facebook commenters really didn't like the swipe at Kevin Smith. I'm not for or against the guy personally, but I don't see how owning a comic book store and being a self-proclaimed nerd should offer Smith any sort of protection from criticism, any more than Bay should have protection from American critics because his films are rabidly pro-America.

I would have chugged a beer through that rant. I take it Bob is not a Smith fan, then. Or sees too much of himself in Smith, which is a whole other problem.Stabby Joe said:If there was a Moviebob drinking game, the sudden U-turn repeated jabs at Kevin Smith would definitely be a shot.
But you do have to deal with things like jobs you don't necessarily like, worries about bills and obligations, the isolation that comes from not constantly being around hundreds of people of roughly the same age with at least some of the same interests. Maybe there's a broader societal problem with the loss of "I wish I were an adult" escapist fantasies, but speaking as an adult I can also see the appeal of "weren't things awesome when I had most of the access to video games and movies, but I didn't have to worry about money?"teamcharlie said:I'm beginning to think almost every movie that's coming out is either for kids or for people who wish they were still kids. Not going to go through the list because it would take too long, but...whatever happened to movies about being an adult?
