I like most of these films (except for Tokyo Drift) so I will take this as a recommendation by you :D

EDIT: I'm happy to throw myself in as douchebag rather than casually dismiss a lot of other people as douchebags because they like a movie I don't like. It feels a little scummy and elitest :D

Also, Wow I was only 10 in 2002
I agree with the middle edit part. I waited to watch this review and I feel like movie bob just called me a douche with no justification. Not that I agree with his opinion on pretty much anything all that often, but this time I sort of felt personally insulted by his implication that it only appeals to douchebags.

I can see a lot of flamewars going on XD

Anyway, I liked this review - I don't like cars that much, and I prefer porn to exploiting woman on big screen, so I'm not the targeted audiance. The real review was at the very beggining when compared to other better made movies (Blues Brothers would be my favorite out of those), and it's nice to know we're getting a sequal of Cars (WTF?).

One of riddiculous things about this movies is how they try to make "changing shifts" and "pressing pedals" to look cool.

You'd actually be surprised at how many people enjoyed this dribble. People in my backwards, mostly Hispanic, very small town loved it. And I mean LOVED. They won't stop talking about it. I told one to shut up. I refuse to see it, because I know it can't possibly be that good, seeing that all the other Fast and Furious movies were a load of crap. That and people in my backwards, mostly Hispanic, very small town have absolutely ZERO taste in movies.

EDIT: Yes, I have seen most of the rest of the movies, so this isn't just a judgment I'm making.

I kinda like what they did with the franchise. No more "Silly Race Car Tuning Crime Something" but a more awesome Oceans 11 with Vin Diesel.

... whats with the repeated mentions of hispanics in your "backward" town?
seems a bit racial dude

in any case, this movie looks rather fun, I enjoyed the rest of the series so I will see about picking it up when it comes out on DVD or Bluray.

Usually I find myself in agreement with Bob, but this is not one of those times. I may be a car aficionado, but I don't like every movie about cars. There are plenty of shitty car movies, such as the Fast and the Furious ripoff "Fast Track: No Limits" which I hate. That being said though, I very much enjoyed Fast 5, as I have the other Fast and the Furious movies (2 Fast 2 Furious not so much).

I am the furthest possible thing from a juvenile, 11 year-old douchebag retard like how you described me and everybody else who might like this film. No, it's not a masterpiece, but it's not supposed to be. The Fast and the Furious franchise has never claimed to be anything other than visually stimulating entertainment. The over the top acting, plot, and implausibility of it all is what makes the F&F movies fun to watch. Movies are a temporary escape from reality, and Fast 5 does a good job of throwing the viewer into an exciting world we will never be a part of. I found Fast 5 entertaining enough to be worth my money and 2 hours of my time. My older brother, who I may mention is absolutely not into cars, also enjoyed this movie. Please stop insulting us.

this is far from e better version of Oceans 11.

Also got one word for fast five: predictable.

Second Hulk movie? ONLY HULK MOVIE!
'The Incredible Hulk' was the only Hulk movie to be made in my lifetime.

THERE WERE NO OTHERS! ESPECIALLY NOT IN 2003.

I know this series is just for car nuts and stuff but hey thats cool car nuts need movies too. It sucks that they seemed to stop caring for any type of plot past the 2nd movie. I wonder what the next big car series will be?

Grand Prix is a really great movie, not because of the cars, but because it's a good story about interesting people.

It's reaaaally long, longer than this crap, but that never occurred to me when seeing it. Sign of a real classic!

while rewatching this movie (not that i really wanted to) it got to my atention how manny innocent people the crew killed while stealing the money, i mean while dragging that safe trough the city they kill tons of cops (obviously you don't see this, you only see the cars get destroyed because they are "good guys" and they dn't kill innocent people.)

I mean after watching that they didn't really seem like such good people anymore, even though they preach a lot of good they still wreck peoples lives. : p

The picture from 3:30 now makes Bob seems clairvoyant. It's still one of the funniest things on the Escapist as well.
