Bob... did you just reference "Blood: The Last Vampire" in that review?

...And you haven't reviewed "Ponyo" yet because...?
hell with Ponyo, i wanna see him rip into Tyler Perry's ass next week.

seriously Moviebob, you've expressed your total hatred for Perry before, but i want the full story. you're clearly capable of filling a segment with nothing but beating the hell out of the "loathsome hack" in question, and i think we'd all like to hear it. don't just leave us with the tease from last week, we wanna see blood.
I want to know the details as well.

I'm glad I don't listen to most reviewers, I actually enjoyed this movie, but then again I went to it expecting a flashy action filmed movie that didn't require much brain power and that was exactly what I got. As I prefer seeing action packed films on a big screen then seeing it in theaters was fine for me. Granted I always go to matines anyway.

On another note, thankfully Gerard Butler has already proven he can do much more than action, the action genre, however, is where the money is at.

With the EXCLUSION of Silent Hill?

Silent Hill was a phenomenally overrated and prescribed to so many cliche's that it became the indignant representation of generic horror movies.

I caught this flick shortly after I saw this review. I winced and prayed to god that it would come down to a difference of opinion.
In the end, I came out with a view of it being just on the "skip it" side of "meh."

I thought the action sequences were well staged and the film was well done technically considering its obvious lower budget.
And contrary to Movie Bob, I thought that Gerald Butler played the role well. However, I will mention that he is not the kind of actor
that can carry a weak script especially if it robs the main actor of any decent supporting roles. The only other bright spot of acting was of course Michael C. Hall. I really want to see more movies with this guy in it. ESPECIALLY after season 4 of Dexter.

Anyways, the other actors did a decent to good job but the problem lies not in their performance but lack of screen time. I think this film could have benefited from a longer running time and more frequent pauses from the action so as to allow the audience to become attached to the characters. So the blight of the wife and hackers will be more impact full.

All the elements are there to make another film on par with Wargames if there was just more love poured into writing the screenplay and if someone had given the directors some paper bags to breath in so they could let the film slow down and evolve.

So the film gets a "le sigh" and if you must see it - download it and skip to the very last scene with Michael C. Hall doing the classic villain: "Don't you see the beauty of my evil scheme? " bit and walk away.

Shame to say I saw the movie before I saw this review, I agree 100 percent, and the hate for second life was almost a neon sign lit up marking the way saying that whole concept sucked.

I might go see it now i thought it was going to be a propaganda film. but the silent hill movie good?
The silent hill movie was very good. Fantastic even. There was one aspect of the movie I didnt like but I wont bring that up and spoil the movie for everyone. If you watch it you'll figure it out for yourself.
And no. The ending wasnt what annoyed me. Just saying that first. ^_^ I LOVED the ending to it. Classic Silent Hill game style ending.
Dunno if that constitutes a spoiler or not since its so vague. But anyone whos ever played a Silent Hill game can figure it out ^_^
So jist of it all? Go watch Silent Hill... OH and Event Horizon. Then cum in your pants while watching them.
Laters.

I think everyone saw it coming. Except my friend Shelby. She liked it. I had to kill her for that ofcourse, I cried but it had to be done. She was beyond redemption.

I loved it, though I'm starting to think some of the messages I thought they attempted to convey (mainly the reality game, where those they view as disgusting had ironically become the purest), was unintentional.

No, you're wrong about the Silent Hill movie. Compared to the games it's shit on a moldy biscuit and doesn't even hold up that well on its own.

truthfully, the thing I hated most about this movie was the idea that in the future everyone will talk like the retards on X-Box Live, I hate those douchebags. Also, I thought of it more as a rip on the Sims, but Second Life is a better analogy.
